Chapter 1692 - 1692: You've Finally Made It
Archer couldn’t help but smile at Brooke’s words, but brought himself back to reality as the trio closed in on the rebel camp, hundreds of soldiers rushed in their direction. He was about to use the Crown of Stars until a portal opened. Nala rushed out alongside Talila and Maeve, who instantly wiped out the closest enemies.
The lioness rushed forward and transformed into her Primal form, slaughtering the rebel commanders as Talila’s mana arrows slammed into the enemy, killing them with perfect aim and precision. While this happened, Leonard looked on in horror while his comrades were brought down as his once banished son held him up to watch.
”You see, father?” Archer commented, looking at the battered man in his hand as he continued. ”Watch your friends and new family become fertilizer for Pluoria’s soil. It’s the only peace you’ll get because when I’m through with you, even the Goddess of Death will throw your soul back into the nothingness to escape my wrath.”
Leonard froze, pure fear rushing across his body. He realized that his banished son was serious and soon would come to know how cruel he’d become. Seconds later, a woman flew from one of the side tents, crashing into the muddy ground as a beautiful, orange-haired young lady roared. ”How dare you speak about my husband in such a way whore!”
Archer was surprised by the sudden fight breaking out, but Maeve wasn’t done as Larka got to her feet and went to cast a spell toward his woman. His mother finished the chant and let the spell fly. It sliced through the air. He watched as the warrior woman cut the magic in half with a roar.
This shocked Larka as Maeve moved forward and began punching the older woman; her punches rang out, causing booming sounds every time one of her fists struck. Leonard was shocked, forgetting the pain he was feeling at the moment, he was watching his love being brutalized.
”Do you know I was going to forgive her?” Archer suddenly said, taking his father by surprise. ”I even let her meet some of my children, which I now regret, but she betrayed me and will suffer for her consequences.”
When Leonard heard this, she shivered in fright, only to be joined by Larka as Maeve threw her toward them. Archer chuckled when he saw his mother covered in blood and trying to get up, but he interrupted it by speaking. ”Well, Larka, this certainly does suit you.”
She looked up and spat a blob of blood at his feet before replying. ”Damn you to the underworld, you and your women are demons!” Archer started laughing as Maeve stepped forward, but was stopped by his words. ”Leave her be, my love. I have other plans for these two.”
Following that, Archer sent everyone back to the Domain after the last rebels were put down. Once back in his realm, he created a small island in the middle of the sea to imprison Larka and Leonard, who both had broken legs and messed-up hands thanks to him injuring them so they couldn’t escape.
”Why aren’t you killing them, husband?” Talila questioned, looking confused. ”They’ll try something again.”
Archer glanced at the silver-haired beauty and chuckled before motioning to the nearby rough ocean. ”Send a wave of mana into the water, then you’ll see they will never be able to escape.”
Talila nodded and closed her eyes only to shiver seconds later as her dark brown skin paled, which caught Maeve’s attention, prompting her to ask. ”What did you see, Tali?”
”Hundreds of Blood Sharks circling the island, making sure these two cannot escape,” she described, looking taken aback.
Archer laughed at her reaction as he revealed. ”There’s no way I’ll let these two get away after what they’ve done. I want to give them something that will be worse than death, to be honest. I want the duo to suffer, so they can understand what I went through when I was younger.”
The two women nodded in agreement as Maeve stepped forward and suddenly hugged him, whispering into his ear. ”Don’t let their words get to you, handsome. They’ll try to provoke you into killing them, but let your parents suffer for what happened.”
”That’s the plan,” he replied, smirking. ”When things calm down, I’ll return or just flood the island to deal with them.”
When Leonard and Larka heard Archer’s verdict, their faces drained of color, frantic protests spilling out, but he didn’t even spare them a glance. A lazy flick of his wrist and the three of them were back in the treehouse, the pleading voices of his so-called parents cut off like a snapped thread.
Archer dropped into the nearest chair with a long, satisfied exhale, every muscle finally loosening. Talila padded off toward the kitchen without a word, already reaching for the kettle; she knew exactly what he needed. Maeve settled beside him, the faintest smirk curling her lips as she watched him unwind.
She gave a soft, almost disbelieving laugh, shaking her head in disbelief. ”You really have changed, husband,” she murmured. ”And I love it. Let them rot.”
”I’ve matured, Mae,” he answered, looking at his warrior wife. ”I’ve had many children and control an empire that stretches across Thrylos. It changes a man with all that responsibility.”
”I understand, handsome.”
Just then, Talila returned with a fresh teapot and poured them a hot drink before sitting down. While the two spoke, Archer turned to a nearby window and watched as a storm was beginning, covering the sky in black clouds as lightning lit up the sky. He was going to cut the weather off from the Domain, but decided against it.
‘The monsters and denizens have to get used to it,’ he mused, taking a sip of the tea.
The steaming tea sent a wave of warmth spreading through his chest, coaxing a quiet smile to his lips. Across the fire, Talila and Maeve spoke softly of the fragile new peace, their voices laced with cautious hope. From what he could gather, people on both sides of the long war, soldiers and civilians alike, were finally tasting the relief of silence.
Following that, the women headed back to the palace, where the others were, but he stayed behind to rest. He was still feeling the effects of the world the Dark Gods had sent him to when someone appeared behind him, their arms wrapped around his shoulders, and a pair of lips kissed his neck.
A shiver ran down his spine, but he couldn’t talk as a seductive voice sounded in his ear. ”My Chosen. Thank you for returning so soon, my power was weakening from being here so long.”
Archer seized Tiamat’s hand, a surge of raw mana flooding through her veins like molten starlight. The ancient dragoness went rigid, violet eyes fluttering white as the power coursed through her. Before she could recover, he dragged her forward, settling her onto his lap with effortless strength.
The plush heat of her body pressed against him, soft curves of her ass molding perfectly to his thighs, her full breasts crushing against his chest until he could feel the frantic drum of her heart echoing his own. Their gazes locked. Then he closed the distance, claiming her mouth in a fierce, devouring kiss.
Something deep inside Tiamat detonated, an ancient, primal fire that roared up through her blood and tore a helpless moan from her throat. The Dragon Goddess surged forward, fangs grazing his lip as she kissed him back with centuries of pent-up fury and devotion, her tongue warring with his until the world narrowed to heat and breath and the taste of divine storm.
They finally broke apart, foreheads still touching, ragged gasps mingling in the charged air between them. Tiamat’s violet eyes flew wide, pupils blown with shock and reverence. ”You did it,” she whispered, voice filled with awe. ”You’ve finally made it. Godhood, Archer… my love, you’re a god now.”
He laughed low, dark, triumphant, fingers tightening on her hips. ”Turns out throwing someone into a nightmare realm forged by the Dark Gods has consequences,” he said, the sound edged with sharp delight. ”They really fucked up.”
”Yes, they did,” she replied, smile growing wider. ”Maybe I should stick around? But that will mess everything up that I’ve planned.”
When Archer heard this, he nodded. ”Go back to the Realm of Gods and sort out your business. There’s much to do on Thrylos before we can enjoy our peace.”
”The Dark Gods won’t stop now, even if you’re a fledgling god and still weak compared to some of the older enemies out there,” Tiamat revealed, looking serious. ”You’ll have to be careful, handsome.”
”I will be,” Archer answered. ”But enough of this, I want to taste you, Tia.”
The Dragon Goddess shivered at his words before he began kissing her slender neck while his hands slid up her body until cupping her boobs, which were soft and felt like heaven.
[Sorry, I haven’t uploaded in some time. I’ve been going through some shit in my personal life and had to get a job, as writing isn’t paying my rent anymore. I will still write chapters, but it’s hard to write when things are bad, though things are looking somewhat better. Thanks for understanding and sticking with me.]
