Chapter 1678 - 1678: Like Books, For Example
Archer stayed in the Dark Termite Colony with Athena and Jasmine. The two women became quick friends as the green-haired beauty decided to start a colony in the nearby sea, prompting him to teleport her to the shore as he opened a portal back at Demetra’s fleet that was headed north.
All the Deepsea Stalkers rushed through it, allowing him to see a dark tide of massive eels pouring into the Domains’ sea. While this happened, the older woman jumped into the water, transforming into her true form, which was a massive version of the beasts he was seeing, and her power even made him shiver.
‘She’s on the higher end of Pseudo-God,’ he mused, amazed at her strength.
Following that, she organized the swarm, returning to him her human form, making sure they began constructing a permanent home in the depths. As they did this, he turned to her, revealing. ”I’m going to open a portal back to the sea in the far west, where the Venomwings are hunting. You can get the eels to herd creatures back here for food.”
When Athena heard this, her green eyes lit up in excitement as she hugged him again, this time making sure that his head was shoved into her deep cleavage, and the scent of salt wafted up his nose. Once that was done, she jumped back into the sea, vanishing into the depths, putting a smile on his face at having another Swarm Queen on his side.
After she was gone, Archer teleported back to Jasmine, who was still watching the Venomwings bringing back thousands of monster bodies. When the silver-haired beauty spotted him, a bright smile appeared on her face. ”Looks like I can build those Fire Fruit pits for you. Is that something Ella is selling through this Company people about?”
”That’s the one,” he answered, sitting next to the Dark Termite Queen. ”You do know what it means to become my woman, right?”
Jasmine nodded. ”Yes, I’m fully aware. Vivienne mentioned it a few times,” she responded.
”Well, think about it for a while,” he reassured. ”We can discuss it when you’ve made up your mind.”
”I already have,” she said, straddling his waist and giving him a passionate kiss.
Archer reciprocated, holding her curvy waist, which was soft to the touch. He felt his lust explode to new levels, but had to control himself as he had to tend to Malakia, Embera, Ayrenn, and Anastasia. He wanted to be fair with the newer members of his harem and break away from the Swarm Queen.
”Jas, I don’t mind doing this, but I have to be fair; the others are first, and if we skip past them, it will cause problems within the harem,” he explained, looking guilty.
”So I’m your woman now?” She ignored his words and questioned.
Archer agreed with a nod. ”Yes, but just know I’m always busy and get distracted easily,” he said.
”I understand, Arch,” she expressed, a beaming smile curling her lips. ”I already know you well, thanks to all the books the girls are writing after reading one some old man released a year ago.”
This was news to him, but he shook his head, asking. ”There are books about me?”
”Yes, someone called Jethro wrote the first one, which caused many other people to start it,” Jasmine revealed as she stood up.
She vanished into a small tunnel nearby after speaking. ”I’ll be back shortly, I have some back at my place.”
Archer relaxed on the sofa, using his mana to sense the entire colony as countless Termites went about their business. He expanded the scan only to come across the Honey Bee Colony that had grown into a megacity full of hives producing Sweet Honey for the Company and Empire.
Bella loved it and had her Bee Workers bring it to a warehouse he built for them to store excess honey, reminding him he had to check on the place after spending time with Jasmine, he wanted to make sure she felt wanted and not neglected like he’d done up until now. By the time the silver-haired beauty reappeared, she was carrying a stack of books.
When Archer saw the amount she had, he took out a storage ring and threw it to the Termite Queen. ”Take this, Jas. You can use it to store anything, like books, for example.”
Jasmine placed the stack on the chair and slipped it on with a big smile. ”Thank you for this, handsome.”
After that, they waited for a few more hours until the Venomwings finished bringing in fresh bodies. Archer turned to the silver-haired woman, leaning over, giving her a soft kiss, making her stiffen at the sudden touch. Once their farewells were done, he commented. ”I’ll come by in a few days. I need to check up on the women who are on expeditions.”
The older woman agreed as he jumped on the back of a Venomwing, opening a portal so they could get out of the colony, and appeared high above the mountains as he ordered the creature. ”Head toward the Honey Bee Colony, I want to check up on them.”
Following that, Archer got comfortable as the flying monster swooped down, flying just above the ground, giving him the perfect view of the wilderness that he had built using his mana, and decided to expand the world. He used all his energy and poured it into the Domain, expanding it to new heights.
Lands erupted across the expanse, grasslands, mountains, lakes, and every biome imaginable, each perfectly suited to sustain the uncountable monsters that prowled his realm, forging a world unto itself. The Venomwing banked hard, wings slicing the warm updraft that rose from the sun-baked valley.
Below, the Honey Bee Colony sprawled like a living jewel, tiered hives the size of cathedrals, their golden walls pulsing with amber light as millions of workers streamed in and out. Rivers of nectar glittered between the structures, carried on the backs of drones the length of horses.
The air itself hummed thanks to the creature’s wings buzzing all over the place, a low, sweet chord that vibrated in Archer’s teeth. He patted the Venomwing. ”Circle once. Let them see me.”
The beast obeyed, spiraling down until the wind off its wings scattered pollen in shimmering clouds. From the largest hive, Bella’s palace, came a trumpet blast of pheromones. A moment later, the Queen herself shot into the sky, wings a blur of stained-glass color, her abdomen swollen with royal jelly and authority.
Bella hovered level with him, blue eyes glittering. ”My King returns at last.”
Her voice was like warm honey, putting him at ease. ”The warehouses overflow. Your empire drinks deep.”
Archer grinned, leaning forward. ”Show me.”
She spun mid-air and dove. The Venomwing followed, skimming so close to the hives that Archer could read the waxen glyphs etched into their sides, production tallies, brood counts, defense rotations. Worker bees swarmed in perfect formation, saluting with a ripple of wings as he passed.
They landed on a platform of comb atop the central hive. Bella shifted as her feet touched down, shrinking into her humanoid guise: bronze skin thanks to becoming tanned due to spending so much time in the sun, antennae curling like living jewelry, a crown of honey resting on dark curls.
The gorgeous blonde wore a sleeveless tunic of silk that caught the light with every breath. ”Numbers first,” she said, snapping her fingers.
A drone the size of a pony lumbered forward, presenting a slab of wax etched with glowing runes. ”Sweet Honey output tripled since the new orchards bloomed. All the monster carcasses make good fertilizer. Your idea was brilliant.”
Archer traced a rune; the slab projected a shimmering hologram of the colony’s growth curve. ”And the surplus?”
”Forty-two warehouses at capacity. I’ve begun distilling combat stims for the legions, a ten percent boost to regeneration. The Empire’s quartermasters are begging for more, handsome!”
He nodded, pleased. Then his gaze drifted to the eastern fringe, where construction scaffolds of wax and chitin rose around a half-finished structure. ”The new nursery, you told me about before?”
Bella’s wings twitched, a flush of pride. ”For the hybrid brood, yes. Termite architects are helping build it, and bee nurses will tend to the young. Jasmine sent them this morning after our recent meeting.”
”Good because Jasmine loves to help you girls,” he replied.
When the blonde heard that, her eyes narrowed. ”Should I be jealous?;;
”Only if you want to be,” he stepped closer, brushing a thumb across her soft cheek. ”Walk with me, beautiful.”
They strolled the hive’s upper floors, workers parting like a golden tide. Below, larvae the size of wolves wriggled in cradles, their tiny wings already humming. Archer fed a pulse of mana into the comb; the whole colony shivered in delight, production runes flaring brighter, showing all the hardworkd they’d put into it pay off.
”Looks like things are going good,” he commented, excitement lighting up his violet eyes.
”Realm expansion hit the western ridge,” Bella murmured. ”Felt it in the roots. You’re pushing your limits again, handsome. Don’t overwork yourself like you always do.”
