Chapter 1565 - 1565: You Frivolous Gremlins
Archer gazed into Ravena’s violet eyes, but all she did was give him a pout. She huffed, turning away from him dramatically. Grinning, he leaned closer and gently poked the adorable baby’s chubby belly, coaxing a giggle from his daughter. Emboldened, he tickled her sides, her laughter erupting in joyful bursts, filling the room.
”Stop acting like your mother, little lady,” he teased, his voice playful as he wiggled his fingers near her belly. ”You’ll never resist me and my tickles!”
Ravena’s giggles exploded into a flood of infectious laughter, her eyes sparkling. Sera appeared beside him, a warm smile spreading across her face. ”Look at you two,” she said, her tone laced with mock jealousy. ”It’s like you’re best friends already. I can’t even win her over when she’s being stubborn like that.”
Archer chuckled, giving Ravena one last gentle tickle as she squirmed in delight before her arms shot up, asking to be picked up. He scooped her into his arms, and she nuzzled into his neck, putting a smile on his face. ”I’m gonna take her on a walk if that’s okay? She looks tired?” he offered.
When Sera heard this, she quickly nodded. Yes please! I need to have a bath and get some food.”
Following that, Archer leaned in to kiss the Dragoness as she rushed off, leaving a smiling Ravena who got a smooch on the cheek, making the little girl giggle as she went back to cuddling him. He patted her little back and started walking through the palace, admiring the maids hard at work.
After ten minutes, he reached the gardens and stepped outside while casting a shield around them so the baby wouldn’t be cold. When Ravena saw this, she got excited, prompting him to cast a flame that captured her amazement. Archer started creating little monsters or a version of her mothers, shocking the little girl.
She looked at him with eyes full of awe, causing him to kiss her on the forehead. ”Let’s find a good spot, little one, we’ll get a good view of Dragonheart,” he said.
Archer explored the palace grounds, his search leading him to a towering tree in the heart of the garden. With a thought, he teleported to its highest branch, creating a plush sofa beneath him. Slumping into its cushions, he settled Ravena comfortably in his lap. Her babbles, soft and curious, drew a warm laugh from him.
To keep her entertained, he summoned a flurry of shimmering mana monsters, captivating her. Lost in the moment, Archer sipped from a bottle of juice, only to feel a pair of tiny hands snatch at it. Ravena, her red curls bouncing, tugged at the bottle with determination. Chuckling, he gently booped her nose.
”I’m not sure if you can have this, little lady,” he said, his voice soft. ”But you can try a sip if you like.”
He tilted the bottle carefully, letting her taste the sweet liquid, her delighted gurgle warming his heart as the mana monsters swirled around them. While doing that, Archer summoned Freya, Evelyn, Kela, Neoma, Elise, and Amelia. The six little girls are appearing surrounded by a pillow fort.
The children’s eyes lit up as they spotted their father standing there, cradling one of their younger siblings in his arms. A wave of excitement rippled through the group, their voices rising in a joyful chorus of babbles and squeals. Freya, the boldest of the bunch, scrambled off the plush sofa, her tiny feet pattering across the soft bark as she toddled toward him.
Her words tumbled out in an energetic jumble, incomprehensible but brimming with love, her arms outstretched. Archer crouched down, his face softening into a warm smile, scooping her into his free arm. ”Easy now, girls,” he said, his voice a soothing blend of authority and love, quieting the eager ladies.
He shifted the little brown-skinned girl in his arms, her eyes sparkling as she gazed at her siblings. ”This is Ravena, your little sister. She’s the second youngest, and you older ones have a big job now, looking after her and keeping her out of trouble; she will be a little rascal.”
The redhead let out a naughty giggle, her infectious laughter sparking a chain reaction among her siblings. Kela and Neoma, perched on the sofa, joined in, their peals of laughter filling the air like music. Archer rolled his eyes, though a grin tugged at his lips.
”Oh, come on, you frivolous gremlins,” he teased, settling Ravena onto the sofa beside Freya. ”Enough giggling. I’ve got some fresh bread for us to share, and a little secret, your mamas are out there looking for us, but I’ve hidden us away up here for a bit of fun.”
He pulled a basket from his Item Box, revealing a golden loaf, still warm from the oven, its scent mingling with the crisp air. Breaking off pieces, he handed them to the children, who eagerly accepted, their small hands clutching the soft crusts. As they nibbled, Archer wove a few more mana creatures, tiny beasts that flitted around the tree, darting between branches.
Ravena clapped her hands, her hair bouncing as she tried to catch a glowing butterfly-like creature that hovered just out of reach. He leaned back against the sofa, watching his children with a quiet pride, the weight of everything forgotten in the glow of their laughter and the shelter of the great tree.
Archer caught the faint rustle of footsteps threading through the garden below—Ella and Olivia, their voices a soft murmur carried on the breeze. On the conjured screen of shimmering mana hovering beside the sofa, Elise and Amelia spotted their mothers and let out delighted cheers, their tiny hands clapping with glee.
He chuckled, his eyes crinkling with warmth, before raising a finger to his lips. ”Shhhh, little ones,’ he whispered, his voice a playful hush. ”This is our special hiding place. We’ve got to stay quiet, or the mamas will find us, and we’ll be in big trouble!”
The seven girls, from Freya to tiny Ravena, turned their heads in unison, their wide eyes fixed on him. A chorus of babbles erupted, as if they understood perfectly, their agreement sealed with mischievous grins. He leaned forward, planting a gentle kiss on each of their foreheads as they munched on their pieces of warm bread, crumbs dusting their chins.
Afterward, Archer offered the elder child a rare milk that Sera had sourced from a distant place. He quickly used his mana to create seven bottles using mana and filled them with the milk. The sight of the bottles reignited the girls’ excitement. Freya, steadying herself with the armrest, rose to her feet with newfound confidence.
She glanced at him with her big blue eyes and started babbling at him. This made Archer smile before giving her the first bottle. ”Here you go, princess.”
Freya’s face lit up with a shining smile as she eagerly snatched the treat from his hand. With a delighted giggle, she plopped down onto the soft cushions. Amelia and Kela, her sisters, nestled close, each resting their head on her shoulders. The girl was utterly absorbed in the milk, her focus so intense that she barely noticed her sisters’, their own eyes sparkling with curiosity as they watched her drink.
Archer stood nearby, a warm smile spreading across his face at the heartwarming scene. The joy of the moment filled him with happiness, but it was short-lived. A familiar figure emerged from the shadows: Demacia, the Necromancer sister. A sly, knowing smirk played on her lips, her eyes glinting with mischief as she approached.
Sensing trouble the moment he spotted her, Archer let out a soft sigh. He knew that look all too well; it promised some teasing remark or clever quip that would stir the peaceful moment. Before Demacia could utter a single word, he swiftly stepped forward, gently but firmly pulling her close and covering her mouth with his hand.
Her blue eyes widened in surprise, then narrowed with playful defiance, but he offered her something that made her shiver. ”If you stay silent about our hiding place, I’ll keep you at my side for a week and make love to you until you’re a mess.”
Demacia nodded in agreement. He was to let her go, but she countered. ”Bring in big sister and I’ll never say a thing?”
”You want a threesome of all things?” Archer asked. ”I thought you’d love the alone time.”
”Nope,” she revealed. ”I can’t leave her out of it, my love.”
”Alright,” he relented. ”I’ll summon you two here once I’m done with the little ones.”
Demacia’s smile grew wide before she turned to her daughters and quickly smooched each one and exclaimed. ”You seven are beauties that will topple kingdoms, level empires, and kill heroes.”
The group of girls erupted in cheers, startling Amelia and Elise, who jumped in surprise. Archer quickly dashed to their side, scooping them up in his arms and showering them with gentle kisses to soothe their nerves.
