Chapter 1559 - 1559: Fuck This Hurts So Much
Archer opened his mouth to respond, but Nefertiti suddenly pointed at him, her voice brimming with warmth. ”My lovely children, this is your father, Archer, the greatest husband on all of Thrylos.”
The two little heads snapped in his direction, their pink and violet eyes glowed before snapping back to their mother’s chest. This made the couple laugh before Nefertiti began feeding them. ”Seems like they take after you, straight out of the womb and already hungry,” she teased.
”At least their healthy,” he responded, sitting next to the bed. ”Back on Earth, they’re so delicate and fragile, but these two look happy already.”
Nefertiti agreed, yawning as the exhaustion took its toll on the succubus. Archer quickly cast a healing spell on the young woman and refreshed her, but once she was done feeding the twins, they all fell asleep. He quickly tucked them all in, making sure the trio was comfortable.
The head nurse appeared at his side, her warm smile a quiet anchor in the whirlwind of the moment. ”Go see Empress Seraphina,” she said softly, her voice laced with encouragement. ”She’s the next one due and has been asking for you.”
Archer nodded and leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to the forehead of his pink-haired wife, Nefertiti, who had drifted into a peaceful sleep, her arms cradling their eighth and ninth children. With a final glance at their faces, he steeled himself and stepped out, ready to meet the next chapter in his life.
In a flash, he appeared in the chamber where Sera lay squirming on the bed, her powerful body trembling thanks to the labor. Her piercing screams echoed off the ornate walls. Ari stood by her side, offering support with a steady hand, but her face lit up with a relieved smile upon seeing him.
”Arch, come help,” the Elemental said urgently. ”She’s been asking for you, not me.”
Without hesitation, he rushed to the bedside, his heart pounding as he took Sera’s hand in his, comforting the redhead. Her ruby-red eyes, usually ablaze with fire, met his full of agony. The pain etched across her face struck him deeply, but he acted fast, channeling mana into the Dragoness’s body.
The warm energy flowed from his hand, weaving through her, soothing her strained muscles and easing the sharp edges of her suffering. Sera’s expression softened, her breathing going back to normal as the healing magic worked its way through her, bringing a moment of calm amidst the storm.
She gave him a bright smile. ”Thank you, handsome, the pain was getting too much.”
Archer remained by Sera’s side as her childbirth stretched on, the hours blurring into a haze of determination and endurance. The nurses coached her to push with each contraction, urging her to time her breaths. The Dragoness followed their wise words, though her petite size made it more grueling than it had been for Nefertiti or the others.
”Fuck! This hurts so much, Arch,” she muttered, getting her teeth. ”It’s worse than getting hit by the Terravians.”
He couldn’t help but laugh at her words just as Sera’s sharp, dragon-like nails dug into his hand, piercing skin with a force that sent a jolt of pain through him. He gritted his teeth, feeling the bones in his hand crack. The pain was nothing to him by now, overshadowed by his love for the woman who saved him from falling into madness.
His eyes never left Seraphina, her fiery red hair damp with sweat, her face a mix of agony and fierce determination. Her screams shook the room as she fought to bring their child into the world. Archer poured more of his mana into her, a steady stream of energy to ease her suffering, his heart aching for his Dragoness.
She was in pain, causing him to distract her. ”Do you remember when we first met Sera?” he questioned.
Her head snapped toward him, nodding. ”Yes, you rescued me from being eaten by the wolves, what of it?”
”It was never me who did the rescuing, it was you,” he revealed, the pain numbing in her mind when hearing the words. ”I was on the verge of going insane, I was a day or two away from falling until I met a spunky little Fairy Dragon who kept biting my ears and neck.”
When Sera heard this, she forgot the pain instantly, and a bright smile lit up her face as he continued. ”I want to thank you for doing that for me because without you, we wouldn’t be here right now.”
Seconds later, she surged forward, enveloping him in a fierce embrace that startled the nurses. Though bloodied, Archer held her tightly, his lips brushing her ear as he murmured. ”Breathe and push, my love. You’ve got this, Seraphina.”
Time seemed to melt as the labor continued on. As this happened, Sera held onto him tighter than anything, his presence anchoring her through one of the hardest parts of her life, making her happy that he was there. With love-filled words, he helped her, soothed her fears, and ensured that she was comfortable while getting rid of the pain that was wrecking her body.
He promised that she wasn’t alone. Then, in a moment that felt like a miracle, a new cry filled the room, signaling the arrival of their daughter. The nurses moved fast, cradling the tiny girl with snow-white hair, her features glowing. His gaze softened as he looked at the newborn, his pain forgotten, replaced by an overwhelming surge of love for his girl, who had finally joined them.
Sera slumped on the bed, exhausted and covered in blood, but Archer waved his hand, casting Cleanse on himself and the Dragoness, who smiled at that. The nurses gave him the baby, allowing him to get a good look at his newest daughter. She had the dark brown skin of her mother, big violet eyes, and red hair, even though they were different colors; he could see his looks in her.
”Let me see her Arch,” she tiredly asked.
Archer bent down, his lips gently brushing the newborn’s soft forehead, provoking a delighted coo from the baby as she basked in her father’s attention. The little girl’s tiny fingers twitched, her eyes sparkling. With a warm smile, he placed her into her mother’s waiting arms. The moment the baby settled against her, the young woman’s face lit up thanks to a motherly glow, her exhaustion forgotten as she gazed at the reflection of themselves.
”She’s perfect,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. ”A beautiful blend of us both. She’s got your striking eyes and my dark skin of mine. Just look at her hair, so full and curly already! And those eyes… they’re like little stars, so bright and full of life. She’s adorable, Archer. We made this little miracle together.”
”Yes we did,” he muttered. ”Who would have thought that we would be having a daughter when meeting all those years ago?”
Sera’s face lit up, but soon a big yawn erupted just as Archer asked. ”What do you want to name her? You can do the honors.”
The young woman beamed before announcing the baby’s name. ”Ravena, I love that name. It’s the name of an old dragon goddess that died out thousands of years ago. Our daughter will be mighty just like her.”
”I love it, but now feed her and get some rest.”
Following that, he kissed both girls and left to go see Ari, who was sitting in the room outside. When stepping in, he noticed the Elemental woman holding in a lot of pain, forcing him to send even more mana to his wife. When she felt this, a smile appeared on her pretty face.
”Thank you, darling,” she said sweetly, standing up and hugging him. ”This little girl is causing me all sorts of problems.”
When Archer heard this, he was stunned, but the head nurse, who looked exhausted as she spoke. ”Come now, empress, you cannot wait any longer, or the baby will be at risk. You’ve been delaying it too long now.”
The couple’s eyes widened in shock and horror as Archer quickly picked the Elemental up, causing her to let out a yelp. He smiled before entering the labor room, directed by the nurse who giggled at his antics.
”I’ve served two emperors and none have ever been this happy at his women getting pregnant,” she commented.
Archer was about to speak, but Ari interrupted. ”He’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met, kind but ruthless and a brilliant father.”
”You’re right,” the older woman added. ”Serving your family has been fun, and I hope it continues.”
After the women exchanged heartfelt words and warm embraces, they were gently ushered into the familiar delivery room. He had grown used to this space, having spent countless hours here supporting the women through their deliveries. The room, with its soft lighting and calming atmosphere, had become a second home to him
