A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1268: Don't Get Embarrassed, Hali

Chapter 1268: Don’t Get Embarrassed, Hali

Following that, the ladies sat down and started going through what they collected as Halime brought out a notebook with a list of stuff she started mentioning to the elf, who nodded or shook her head.

He watched them with a fascinated glint in his eyes, as it seemed like they loved studying stuff much like he did before leaving the Ashguards. While sitting there, the ground started shaking, which didn’t bring them out of their excitement.

‘What’s wrong now? Another attack?’ Archer thought with a sigh before using Aura Detector to find out what was going on.

His mana washed out of his body like a tsunami, only for his eyes to catch movement in the distance. To his surprise, he saw massive Desert Walkers staring in their direction but hurried on when noticing the new building.

They fascinated Archer as they were towering, crab-like creatures, slowly passing by the oasis. Their enormous, armored bodies moved with a speed that defied their size, which amazed him.

Large pincers clicked softly as they ambled through the landscape, eating random bushes that littered the desert. His instinct to capture them flared briefly but quickly dismissed the idea.

‘No, leave them alone,’ he thought with a shake of his head. ‘They aren’t even fighters and won’t be useful in the war.’

Archer knew they were passive creatures that wouldn’t attack until feeling threatened but he knew they were strong when they did retaliated against an aggressor. There was no need to disturb them.

Instead, he simply watched in awe as they silently crossed the dunes with ease, their massive forms fading into the dunes. ‘Thrylos is full of wonders and crazy monsters,’ he mused with a smile. ‘I could never get bored with seeing it all.’

While standing there, Halime joined him as Llyniel was still busy going over the loot they got from the lab. The wood elf was muttering to herself in excitement, which put a smile on his face.

”Are we being attacked again?” the snake woman asked.

Archer shook his head as the last monster vanished into the vast expanse. ”No. It was Desert Walkers passing by,” he answered before going to sit down in the garden to get some fresh air.

Halime joined him with a confused expression while leaning her head on his shoulder to get comfortable after sitting down. ”What type of monsters are they? I’ve never heard the name,” she inquired.

He waved his hand while using Mana Manipulation to create a smaller version of the crab-like creatures to show her. The young woman’s eyes widened in shock but quickly spoke when composing herself, ”Never seen them before. They don’t roam the deserts in my homeland.”

”I’m honestly not surprised,” Archer revealed with a chuckle. ”I believe their home is further north where the mountains and lake. You won’t believe it, but the Death Sands is massive, stretching across most of Avidia. The four empires control the rest of the land outside of the desert.”

Halime nodded in understanding just as he asked with a curious glint in his eyes, ”How was everything we found? Anything useful for you both?”

”The ingredients we found will be useful for our future experiments,” she said with a voice full of excitement. ”Especially for the poisons I’ve been working on. Some of these compounds could make them even more potent.”

Llyniel, who had been listening intently, added with a grin while approaching, ”I think we’re about to make some truly dangerous creations, husband.”

Her eyes gleamed with mischief, a hint of anticipation in her tone. Archer chuckled softly, enjoying their conversation as the stars above shone brighter and lit the surrounding desert. ”It seems like our discoveries here will be just as important as the place itself,” he remarked.

The trio continued chatting for a while until Llyniel eventually stood up and stretched. ”I need to get back to the haul, guys,” she said. ”I have to preserve the specimens before they go bad.”

Once the wood elf departed, Halime turned to Atlas, her glowing snake-like eyes locking onto him. In a hushed, almost pleading voice, she asked, ”Husband, may I bite your neck to drink your mana… please?”

Archer’s eyebrow rose as he questioned with a curious expression, ”What’s brought this on?”

He watched as a deep blush spread across her smooth brown cheeks, her fingers nervously fidgeting in her lap. The sight made something stir in Archer’s chest, and before he could second-guess himself, he gently took her soft hand in his.

”Don’t get embarrassed, Hali,” he said softly, his voice steady and filled with affection. ”We’re lovers. You can ask me anything.”

He gave her hand a tender squeeze, offering her a comforting smile, his eyes filled with trust and understanding. The snake woman beamed before revealing her motive. ”I gained the ability to increase my mana pool by drinking it from a source.”

When he heard her words, his smile deepened, warmth flickering in his golden eyes. But Halime hadn’t finished speaking. ”I will never bite another man,” she reassured. ”Or woman, for that matter. So… would you let me?”

Archer didn’t answer. Instead, he simply tilted his head, exposing his neck to her without hesitation. Halime’s breath hitched, her eyes widening in surprise. She hadn’t expected such a silent, trusting response.

”Thank you, handsome,” she muttered with a big smile.

The snake woman hesitated for only a moment before leaning in. Her warm breath brushed against his skin before her fangs gently pierced his neck. A sharp yet strangely pleasurable sensation shot through him as she drank, eagerly drawing from his mana.

A soft sigh escaped her lips, and as if drawn by an unseen force, she shifted closer, climbing into his lap. Her body pressed against his, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she melted into him.

Archer’s hands instinctively found her waist, steadying her as a wave of warmth spread between them. Their connection deepened with every heartbeat, an intoxicating mix of intimacy and trust.

Halime shuddered slightly, overwhelmed by it, before finally pulling away as a beautiful smile appeared on her face. She gazed at him with half-lidded yellow snake eyes, a soft, breathless smile playing on her lips.

”You’re mine,” she whispered, resting her forehead against his, her voice filled with both affection and possessiveness.

Archer smirked, brushing a strand of black hair from her face. ”Always,” he murmured, before capturing her lips in a slow, tender kiss.

She melted against him, her hands sliding up his chest before tangling in his hair, pulling him deeper into the moment. He responded in kind, his arms wrapping around her waist, pressing her flush against him.

Their kisses grew more urgent, more desperate as if they were trying to pour every unspoken feeling into each touch. When they finally broke apart, the brown-skinned beauty’s breath came in soft, uneven pants, her lips tingling from the intensity.

She looked up at him, a teasing smile playing on her lips. ”You’re not getting rid of me now. Even if you go to another world, I’ll follow my love,” she whispered, her voice filled with warmth.

Following that, Halime took his shirt off, causing her to stiffen when she saw his well-sculpted body. She bit her lip before asking in a quiet voice, ”Can I be the one in control, Arch? I want to try it with you.”

”Of course,” he murmured, leaning back into the plush chair, his violet eyes gleaming with mischief. His voice dipped into something darker, something inviting. ”I won’t move unless you order me to, Mistress.”

The snake woman trembled at his words, a delicious shiver coursing through her body as her perky boobs bounced, which caught his eyes. But her breath hitching as desire curled through her like fire brought his attention back to the beautiful young woman.

”Don’t tease me, Mr.,” she purred, slithering closer, her voice dripping with need. ”I’m going to have you all to myself… until I can’t take anymore. And only when I’m completely spent and used, then you can have the elf?”

Her tongue flicked out, tracing the shell of his ear as her fingers trailed down his chest, her touch both possessive and tantalizing. Archer let out a groan as her hands slipped into his waist back.

Halime took hold of him, her breath catching for a moment. Leaning in close, her lips grazed his ear as she softly murmured, ”I can wait for this monster to fill me up, my love. I’ve missed it.”

Archer chuckled, but let out another groan as she stroked him. He just sat back and enjoyed it just before she spoke in a dominating tone which sent a shock through his body, ”Play with my boobs. I like it when you do that.”

He smiled at the beautiful young woman before pulling her dress down, only to reveal her perky boobs that ended with stiff, dark nipples. Halime got excited when he saw his expression, but he didn’t let her speak.
