A Farmer's Journey To Immortality
Chapter 966: Treatment P6: False Nascent Yaksha Soul
Aksai’s fingers continued rubbing his temples.
"So why did the Ouz royal faction suddenly decide to join hands with the Mroot Yaksha Sect?"
He lowered his hand.
"And how the fu*ck did someone who drank the Thousand Deaths Poison in front of all the other native Lords manage to not only survive..." (Chapter 453)
His expression became increasingly incredulous.
"...but actually become a False Nascent Soul cultivator?"
Not just Humeyin but Aksai also found the situation difficult to digest.
He had personally witnessed the circumstances surrounding Yasen’s poisoning. This incident took place in Haitin’s wedding with the Sun Ocean Lord’s daughter.
The Thousand Deaths Poison was not some ordinary poison that could be overcome through sheer cultivation.
Everyone had believed that Yasen had paid the price for his actions. Yet now, the supposedly dead Yaksha Lord had returned.
Not only alive but stronger than before.
Aksai stared at Selene.
"That’s not a normal breakthrough."
His voice was quiet now.
"All the Lords present at that confirmed the poison and its consumption by the Yaksha Lord. Someone who survived that kind of 3rd Order poison shouldn’t have been able to reach the False Nascent Soul Realm so easily even if they had means to survive the poison’s effects."
Humeyin finally spoke.
"Unless..."
Her voice was cold.
"...someone helped him."
Selene nodded slowly.
"That is what our intelligence suggests as well."
Aksai’s expression darkened.
Selene looked down at the intelligence crystal again.
"There is more."
Aksai’s expression remained serious.
Selene took a slow breath before continuing.
"The one who must have helped the Yaksha Lord is most likely an imperial faction from the Shinayin Empire. It was sort of like completing the final piece of the puzzle for the Yaksha Lord who was only missing that piece for his reemergence."
Aksai’s eyes narrowed.
"It seems the Mroot Yaksha Sect has connections with the Empire’s Blood Yaksha Faction."
Humeyin’s expression changed slightly with those words.
Selene continued.
"The Yaksha Lord did indeed consume a genuine Third-Order Thousand Deaths Poison."
Aksai frowned.
"So everyone indeed saw him drink the real thing."
"Yes."
Selene nodded.
"Which is why nobody suspected anything."
She paused before revealing the truth.
"Who would have thought that consuming such a poison was actually one of the requirements for a special Blood Yaksha technique?"
Aksai’s expression became increasingly grim.
"A technique to advance into the False Nascent Soul Realm."
The room became quiet.
Selene continued.
"The Yaksha Lord deliberately died under special conditions. He used a Mroot Yaksha technique that originated from the Blood Yaksha Faction."
She held up the crystal.
"His late-stage Lord-level cultivation became the burning fuel for the technique. He used it to refine his own soul."
Aksai’s eyes flickered.
"He burned his cultivation to refine his soul..."
"Yes."
Selene nodded.
"His physical body died in the process. But his soul was transformed into a False Nascent Soul."
She paused.
"After that, his corpse was transformed into a Yaksha."
Humeyin’s fingers tightened around her teacup.
Selene’s voice became lower.
"And once the transformation was complete, he used his newly formed False Nascent Soul to repossess his own dead body."
Aksai stared at her.
"So he really did die."
"Yes."
"And everyone saw it."
"Yes."
"And then he simply..."
"Returned in another form."
Selene nodded.
"He deceived us in a completely different way."
Aksai leaned back in his chair.
The pieces were beginning to fall into place.
When Aksai really thought about it, he found out that he really had no reason to act surprised. After all, he had suspected the Yaksha Lord’s intentions from the beginning. Perhaps he was surprised by the timing but not by Yaksha Lord’s comeback itself (Chapter 463)
And even his late in-name master Hayaat Blackblood knew that Yasen Yaksha was planning something. He just signed the peace treaty at that time for his own reasons and for the benefit of the Blackblood Sect that was about to face instability at that time due to his eventual death (Chapter 464).
Selene continued.
"The most interesting part is that this wasn’t something he decided to do after the imperial invasion."
She looked directly at Aksai.
"The Yaksha Lord had been planning to turn himself into a Mroot Yaksha long before the Empire developed its newfound interest in Orveth’s Spirit Veins and Spirit resources."
"He wanted to become the absolute ruler of the Wild Devil Lands. He intended to bring every major force in the region under his control."
A faint, humorless smile appeared on her face.
"Even the Big Five Sects."
Aksai wasn’t surprised.
"He didn’t necessarily intend to destroy them," Selene explained. "At least, not initially. His plan was to suppress them and force them to work for him."
She lowered the crystal.
"Become the true ruler of the Wild Devil Lands while allowing the major sects to continue existing under his shadow."
Aksai’s fingers tapped lightly against the table.
"But then the Empire arrived."
"Yes."
Selene nodded.
"And everything changed."
The Yaksha Lord had already completed his transformation.
He had already obtained the power he needed.
And then the imperial invasion began.
"Once he realized that the imperials were coming," Selene continued, "he abandoned his original plan and changed his approach."
"He used his connection to the Blood Yaksha Faction as a qualification to gain legitimacy for his sect."
Aksai’s expression became thoughtful.
"So the Ouz royals didn’t simply decide to cooperate with a random demonic sect."
"Exactly."
Selene nodded.
"And once he stabilized his newfound pseudo 4th Spirit realm cultivation..."
Selene’s expression became cold.
"He showed his fangs."
Humeyin finally spoke.
"So all of this was planned."
Selene turned toward her.
"Not everything."
She shook her head.
"The imperial invasion wasn’t part of Yasen Yaksha’s original plan."
"But his preparation was."
Humeyin fell silent.
Selene continued.
"In fact, the Mroot Yaksha Sect had already been carrying out many suspicious activities before the war began."
Aksai’s eyebrows rose.
"Stealing some precious Spirit resources, in particular."
She glanced at the crystal again.
"The report suggests that many of the strange activities carried out by the Mroot Yaksha Sect over the years were connected to the Yaksha Lord’s preparations."
