A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

Chapter 601: Farming Lives

Chapter 601: Farming Lives

Drip. Drip. Drip.

The sound of blood hitting the asphalt echoed faintly. Aksai frowned, finding the sound slightly irritating, and stretched out his arm so that the blood would drip onto the fallen warrior’s face instead.

The dying man lay on the ground, his eyes wide open as he watched Aksai crush his heart in front of him. Warm blood splattered across his own face, and his lips moved faintly, as if trying to form words. But all that came out was a faint gasp before his body went still.

For a few seconds, the entire dome was silent. No one moved. The other warriors stared at Aksai, their faces pale. Even the Aurous artists — usually proud and fearless — stepped back slightly without realizing it.

Aksai raised his blood-soaked hand, his golden eyes gleaming with wild amusement. “Now then,” he said softly, a wicked smile spreading across his face.

Dozens of vines sprouted from the ground and the ceiling, twisting and swaying as if they were alive — each one ready to strike.

The moonlight leaked through the gaps in the vines above, casting a silver glow over his face. With a deep breath, he raised his hand and opened his storage ring.

One after another, his weapons began to appear in the air around him.

The first to come out was the Lian Flying Sword — a sleek, silver blade that hummed softly with Spirit energy. It was Aksai’s most used weapon, both for sword attacks and for flying through the sky. The sword floated beside him, spinning gently, ready to move at his command.

The second weapon was a set of fifty knives — the Celestial Shards. Each blade was small and narrow, shining faintly like pieces of starlight. When released, they spread out in a circular pattern around Aksai, waiting for orders.

Next came the Celestial Echo — a sword identical to the Lian Flying Sword in shape and size, but twice as heavy. It thrummed with power, its weight alone enough to split stones.

Then came Celestial Fang — a broadsword almost as tall as Aksai himself. Its wide blade gleamed under the pale light, and when it hit the ground, the earth cracked slightly under its weight.

Lastly, Aksai pulled out the Celestial Stinger — a sharp, curved dagger that he held in his right hand. Its handle fit his grip perfectly, and the edge of the blade shimmered faintly with a red hue.

Earlier, only the Lian Flying Sword could conduct Spirit Essence. The rest — weapons he had forged himself from a meteor stone — could only carry Qi.

But Aksai had made changes. He had etched new Essence Equations into each weapon, making them partly Spirit Essence compatible. Now, every one of his blades responded to both Qi and Spirit power. Although he could only use his Spirit essence to make them fly, that was enough. He could already use his Qi Sense to empower the weapons using his Qi reserves as well.

Aksai took a deep breath as the spectral screens that only he could see popped up in front of him as they started identifying targets in real-time.

At this point, all the weapons lifted into the air around him, ready to strike. The number of flying weapons alone was enough to shock anyone — dozens of blades circling above and around him like a storm of steel.

Normally, it would be impossible for one person to control so many weapons at once. Even a Core Formation Lord would lose focus trying to guide them all with Spirit Sense alone. But Aksai had the Neural Link Fabric.

Thanks to that, each weapon could act independently, guided by the Neural Link’s parallel processing. He didn’t even need to manually lock onto targets — the Fabric did it for him.

‘Target all Bronze Body warriors with twenty-five Celestial Shards,’ Aksai talked to his cheat-like ability calmly. ‘The rest of the weapons — attack the Argent artists. Leave the Celestial Stinger for me and the Devil vines.’

The Neural Link hummed in response. The vines inside the Devil’s Den also began to move, hundreds of them rising from the ground and ceiling, each covered in thorns and pulsing faintly with life.

Then everything happened at once.

“As a good farmer, I’ll farm lives tonight,” Aksai said, mumbling to himself.

Then he leapt forward, straight into the horde of the Grand Martial Hall’s warriors.

One could feel the sharp sound of slicing wind on their naked skin as the Celestial Shards shot forward like silver lightning. They darted through the air and struck the Bronze Body warriors one after another, piercing through their chests as easily as needles through soft cheese.

Some tried to dodge, others swung their weapons wildly, but every time they blocked one blade, another came from the opposite direction and pierced through them. Screams echoed through the dome.

“Aaaargh!”

“These fuc*king kni– aaaaaah!”

“Help Heeeeeeee—”

The Lian Flying Sword, Celestial Echo, and Celestial Fang targeted the Argent artists. The three heavy blades moved with deadly precision, slicing through arms, legs, and weapons alike.

The sound of metal clashing filled the air as the Argent artists tried to defend themselves, only to fall one by one. The Neural Link Fabric cleverly targeted the initial-stage Argent artists first to reduce the number of opponents more quickly and efficiently.

Aksai didn’t stop there. He launched himself toward one of the Aurous artists, who had just shattered a group of vines with a burst of elemental Qi.

The other six Aurous artists were surrounded by blood-soaked vines attacking from every direction. Their Qi flared like fire and lightning as they destroyed the incoming vines, but each time one was cut down, two more appeared.

The vines were endless, keeping the Aurous artists from moving freely.

Aksai faced his target head-on. The Aurous artist’s aura was strong — stronger than Aksai’s Argent Qi cultivation at the very least. Fighting a single initial-stage Aurous artist was like engaging in a deadly struggle with more than ten Argent artists at once.

However, Aksai was a heretic among heretics. Not only did he practice multiple paths, but the way he practiced them was also very different from normal methods.

For example, his Qi Shell and the Verdant Elder’s protection alone allowed him to stand on equal terms with most Aurous artists.
