Chapter 788: Chapter 439: Bronze Dragon King, Hell’s Evil God

In the high sky, the Red Iron Dragon was vibrating its wings, flying in the direction of the Red Flame Royal City.

However, just as he darted not far, yet to completely leave the airspace of the previous battle, several Dragon Shadows came sweeping over the horizon.

Leading them was the Blue Dragon Zoraya, her entire body covered in azure scales.

Following her were several Giant Dragons affiliated with the Dominic Clan.

The Central Region where Galos was ambushed was within her jurisdiction. Previously, the spatial changes and disruptions had intense reactions, spreading far.

Noticing something amiss, Zoraya immediately led her elite forces to investigate.

At first glance at Galos, Zoraya’s gaze slightly tightened, seeing numerous scars on the Red Iron Dragon’s body. Moreover, the fluctuating Long Wei indicated he had just undergone an intense battle.

The Giant Dragons immediately surrounded him, escorting the Red Iron Dragon Emperor to the center.

"My King, was the commotion just now caused by you? Were you ambushed?"

The Blue Dragon Zoraya asked with concern.

The Red Iron Dragon calmly nodded.

"I encountered four Legendary Path of Scales members. They ambushed me here."

His words were concise, then his gaze shifted to the Blue Dragon Zoraya, sternly instructing, "Zoraya, once you return, immediately conduct a thorough investigation of your territory. If you discover any suspected Dragon Worship Cult members lurking, apprehend them at once, and interrogate them strictly. Be sure to uncover their roots."

Galos speculated in his heart that within the borders of his kingdom, there might have long been followers of the Path of Scales lurking.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been possible for four Legendary Powerhouses to ambush him shortly after his coronation ceremony.

Legendaries hold high status and rarely spend their time on trivial information gathering.

The most likely scenario was that some lower-level Dragon Worship Cult members lurking in the shadows first took notice of him as the King of the Wilderness. They then relayed information about him step by step to higher-level core members of the cult. With his nation’s establishment, his fame spread rapidly, ultimately drawing this attack.

Opposite, Zoraya and the several Dominic Giant Dragons she brought with her were all taken aback.

Four Legendaries from the Dragon Worship Cult?!

No wonder they could leave so many scars on the King... Wait a moment! The implication of the King’s words is that he has already dealt with those four Legendaries?!

Thinking of this, a sense of awe instantly surged to the peak in the eyes of the Giant Dragons as they looked at Galos.

Since it was an ambush, the attackers must have had the advantage of the terrain and were prepared.

In such a situation, to be able to counter-kill all of them indicates that the strength of the Red Iron Dragon Emperor far exceeded the expectations of those ambushers.

"My King, those sneaky worms of the Path of Scales dared to strike at you; they are simply courting death!"

The Blue Dragon Zoraya lowered her beautiful head and replied, "Rest assured, once I return to my territory, I will immediately conduct the most thorough investigation and will not let any lurking vermin escape."

Galos nodded gently at her words.

He said no more, vibrating his wings, continuing to fly toward the Red Flame Royal City, his vast dragon form soon becoming a black dot on the horizon.

Later, at the peak of the High Mountain Dragon Court.

The Red Iron Dragon Emperor stood on the platform of the highest peak, his gaze sharp as he slowly swept over the vast and boundless wilderness and sky.

On the way back to the royal city, Galos had already informed Iron Dragon Solrog of the ambush through Mind Link, similarly instructing him to be more vigilant regarding the Dragon Worship Cult’s movements. Galos ordered Solrog to do his utmost to root out those cult members lurking in the shadows, preventing trouble before it arises.

This task was mainly handed over to Scout Commander Russell for execution.

"Thinking back now, my performance at that time was somewhat overreactive, failing to maintain calm and collected thinking throughout."

The Red Iron Dragon calmed his mind after the fierce battle, starting to review the details of the fight, pondering silently in his heart.

"Managing those two Legendary Mages was indeed challenging, but I should have at least tried to capture one of the Warrior Legendary alive. Perhaps some information about the Dragon Worship Cult could have been tortured out."

He shook his head in regret.

Having once almost lost his life in an ambush during his weaker years, he developed a kind of stress response to such incidents.

Moreover, at the start of the battle, his Flame Domain was instantly shattered by the enemy, filling him with a strong sense of peril and setting alarm bells ringing in his heart, which led him to adopt the most swift tactics.

But in reality, he had overestimated the enemy.

The shattering of the Flame Domain was largely dependent on the special effects of that Legendary Weapon.

Aside from that powerful effect, the Legendary Weapon’s performance in other aspects was quite mediocre.

When Galos withstood layered control effects and launched a fierce counterattack, facing his sharpness, the human Legendary merely left a cut on his claw, only to be crushed to death immediately afterward.

Pathetically weak.

The other Legendaries’ performances were not much different.

The bald giant who prided himself on his defense shattered like paper under the full combat state of Galos with a single impact.

The Mind Mage’s mental attacks, under his iron will and fiery madness, were practically immune.

Though, the pain magnified by the Mind Mage through the Domain did affect Galos to some extent.
