Chapter 756: Chapter 431: Return to the Wilderness

Legendary equipment is already incredibly precious, and a weapon from a rival race is worth far more in the eyes of an old dragon like Elder Ovis, who loves to collect, than any other equipment of the same tier.

"This rough texture, this heavy weight... oh, what a treasure."

The Old Golden Dragon completely ignored the resistance from the Earth Ripper, and fondly caressed it repeatedly.

He stroked from the coldly gleaming axe blade to the anti-slip patterned axe handle, his clumsy posture ungraceful.

If not for the other dragons watching, he might have been unable to resist giving it a lick.

"Where did you get this treasure?"

Suppressing his inner excitement, Elder Ovis looked up and curiously asked the Red Iron Dragon with bright eyes.

Galos calmly replied, "A Hill Giant King exiled from the Seresia Continent to the Sel Wilderness wielded this axe, named the Earth Ripper, against me and caused me a bit of trouble."

"However, afterwards, its fate, along with that Giant’s, belonged to me."

Saying this, he flicked his dragon tail, deftly coiling it around the middle of the Earth Ripper’s handle.

Then, he gave it a gentle pull... the axe didn’t budge in Ovis’s claws.

"Hmm?"

Ovis clutched the Earth Ripper tightly, showing no sign of letting go.

"Didn’t you just say you have high standards and look down on ordinary things?" The Red Iron Dragon tugged again, "This broken axe probably doesn’t even catch your eye."

"How about I get you a better treasure in the future as a token of thanks?"

At these words, Ovis not only didn’t loosen his grip but clutched it even tighter, righteously saying, "Hey! That’s not how it works! Since you’re so sincere in wanting to give a gift to express your gratitude, how could I, as an elder, bear to refuse?"

"This is it! I think it’s quite good, exactly the kind I like!"

Saying this, his gaze suddenly focused sharply, and he quickly looked towards the distant sea behind the Red Iron Dragon, exclaiming:

"Hiss! Look over there! Is that the Bronze Dragon King?! Why did he suddenly appear here?!"

"What? The Bronze Dragon King?"

The Red Iron Dragon, along with Alberto and Nasha beside him, were startled and instinctively turned to look in the direction Ovis was pointing.

In their view was only the tranquil blue sky and the vast ocean extending endlessly.

Not even a spare cloud, let alone a Bronze Dragon King.

Just as Galos was distracted, a gleam flashed in Ovis’s eyes.

Seizing the opportunity, he pulled hard, "snatching" the Earth Ripper from the coil of Galos’s tail, then swiftly and seamlessly stashed it into his own space item, as if fearing a second’s delay would lead to the other party regretting.

The Red Iron Dragon turned back, puzzled, and asked, "Where’s the Bronze Dragon King? Why didn’t I see it?"

By this time, the Old Golden Dragon had already resumed his calm and dignified demeanor.

He leisurely straightened his dragon whiskers and said, unfazed, "Oh... maybe my old eyes deceived me. Age has weakened my sight compared to you young dragons."

Sounding serious while spouting nonsense.

In a good mood, Ovis patted the thick, solid shoulder of the Red Iron Dragon with a gleeful smile, "Yes, this gift is indeed nice, and you were thoughtful."

Looking at his satisfied demeanor, the Red Iron Dragon found it amusing but didn’t probe further.

"As long as you like it, it’s officially yours from now on."

He didn’t have a particularly strong inclination to collect.

In Galos’s view, trading a piece of legendary equipment he couldn’t directly use and came with troublesome constraints for deeper friendship and support from a Golden Dragon Elder was a very worthwhile exchange.

Opposite, after tidying the battle axe, Ovis paused for a moment in contemplation.

Looking at the imposing Red Iron Dragon before him, his tone became slightly more serious as he said thoughtfully, "Galos, after founding your nation, if you encounter any difficult troubles or need some advice... feel free to message me anytime."

"I may not be able to directly help you solve your problems."

"However, I will try to offer valuable advice based on my experience and connections or provide alternative solutions to your problems."

The Red Iron Dragon grinned and agreed without reservation.

"Great! If I encounter trouble in the future, I will surely seek your counsel first."

Giving a cherished gift, indeed, was a necessary thing.

To be honest, Elder Ovis wasn’t related to him by blood and was willing to vouch for and support him perhaps because he saw his potential or based on fair justice. But if he always asked without giving in return, this hard-earned relationship would eventually fade.

Catering to likes and giving benefits make for long-lasting maintenance.

"Strange... Why do I vaguely feel like I’ve been played?"

The Old Golden Dragon rubbed the keratin on his chin, muttering to himself.

He was somewhat aware of Galos’s ’Dragon Taming Technique.’

Galos didn’t pick up this topic but instead reminded, "Elder Ovis, the Earth Ripper, after all, is made by Giants and contains constraints targeting the Dragon Race. We cannot directly unleash its full power."

"Aside from repairing its damage, further effort will be needed to modify it."

The Old Golden Dragon, hearing this, merely shook his head indifferently.

"What do you know?" He righted his expression, saying, "These battle scars, the unique constraint methods of the Giant Race... these are its true value, its story, and characteristics! Removing these features and modifying it beyond recognition would be inferior, stripping it of its beauty as a collection piece."

"I will place it in my private collection room, and then... hehe, find an appropriate time to invite a few old fellows over to admire it."

He accepted the Earth Ripper not for combat but purely as a high-showcase-value collectible, intending to flaunt it in his collector’s circle.

Galos couldn’t quite understand this collector’s mindset but showed respect, saying nothing more.

Since the Earth Ripper was given away, whether Ovis used it as a felling axe to chop wood or kept it as a decoration collecting dust in a corner, it was no longer his concern.

What mattered to him was the potential value this gift brought.

"Alberto, Nasha, let’s prepare to set off."

Galos didn’t delay further, looking at the two impatient Golden Dragons beside him, saying in a deep voice.

"Been waiting for this!"

"Let’s go! Back to the wilderness!"

The two eagerly responded, first flapping their wings, stirring up a strong airflow, and soaring into the sky, circling in mid-air waiting.

Ovis watched the ready-to-deploy giant dragons with a gentle smile on his dragon face.

Finally, he said to Galos, "The road ahead is long, and the world beyond the Dragon Domain is vast and complex."

"Stick to your original intention and stay true to your path. Remember, no matter what the future holds, Fubo Dragon Domain will always be one of your trustworthy friends."

Galos nodded and said, "I understand, I will remember."

No need for too many farewell words.

Galos took one last look at this island that had carried years of his time, one last look at the legendary Golden Dragon in front of him, then raised his fierce head towards the vast sky, letting out a long, powerful dragon roar.

Whoosh!

He spread his wings, creating a strong draft, his black and red dragon body soared, flying towards the Atlantia Continent’s direction, with Alberto and Nasha following close behind.

A new journey had begun.

The King of Molten Iron would soon descend upon his most loyal wilderness kingdom.
