A Dragon against the Whole World
Chapter 750 - 429: Awakening, the Mighty Red Iron Dragon (Part 3)
Chapter 750: Chapter 429: Awakening, the Mighty Red Iron Dragon (Part 3)
It doesn’t seem like it evolved over time, but rather like it was naturally perfect from the beginning.
He is like an ingot of high-quality iron, forged and polished through countless temperings, finally purging its impurities and becoming the purer and more tenacious refined steel.
The Red Iron Dragon has been in the Legendary Domain for just five years, but merely standing there, his Long Wei made the surrounding Legendary Giant Dragons feel he shouldn’t be underestimated, unlike a dragon that had just become legendary.
Galos’s gaze swept over the Legendary Giant Dragons, finally landing on the most agitated Silver Dragon, Finell.
He was not awakened by the Legendary Giant Dragons.
About a month ago, he had naturally awoken, but remained in the Spring of Stagnation, carefully exploring and familiarizing himself with the various changes after his breakthrough, consolidating his newly gained domain and traits.
All the conversations and disputes that took place above the lake were clearly heard by him.
He felt it was time to show up and face everything personally.
Ovis had shielded him from the storm for so long, allowing him to stabilize his realm thoroughly, doing it impeccably.
Next, it was time for him to confront those disputes and feuds himself.
"You... are Galos Ignas?!"
Finell’s voice trembled slightly due to extreme emotions.
She stared fiercely at the Red Iron Dragon who emerged from the water, who had killed her son, her gaze full of hostility and anguish.
"Yes, it’s me."
Galos’s voice was steady, without a trace of ripple.
"You finally appeared! Evil Dragon! I want you to pay with blood for the life of my poor son!"
Finell roared with grief and indignation, the glow of Dragon Breath rapidly gathering in her throat, shimmering with a dangerous and lethal luster.
"Pay with my life?"
There was no guilt in Galos’s eyes, nor was there any sign of fear, only a profound calmness. "Miss Finell, I understand and sympathize with the pain of losing a blood relative."
His tone remained steady, but immediately shifted, his words becoming sharp as a knife.
"But please tell me, when your offspring, a noble Legendary Giant Dragon, disregarded identity, honor, and law, and initiated a despicable murder against me, a guest in the Dragon Domain, what was I supposed to do?"
"Was I to stretch my neck and accept his so-called justice-driven evil act?"
"Or is it that just because he was your son, and he proclaimed vengeance or purification, his murderous act becomes justified?"
"Is my act of self-defense, the struggle to survive, an unforgivable brutality?!"
Galos’s words were logically clear, every word piercing the heart, exposing Finell’s attempt to cover right and wrong with sentimentality.
The Legendary Giant Dragons around, who knew little about Galos, were immediately impressed by the young Red Iron Dragon’s calm rebuttal.
Even they, putting themselves in Galos’s shoes, would probably find it difficult to remain so calm in such an encounter.
Yet he, as the true victim, could still respond so methodically to such sophistical accusations, demonstrating the strength of his inner self and clarity of thought.
No wonder that old fellow Ovis holds him in such high regard.
This Red Iron Dragon... is indeed extraordinary.
"You’re arguing!"
The Silver Dragon’s breath hitched, halting her brewing Dragon Breath, opening her mouth to refute.
"Are you saying you have no fault at all? If not for the filthy Evil Dragon Blood flowing in your veins, my son wouldn’t have..."
Finell was momentarily stumped by the question, only able to emphasize the bloodline more angrily.
"Bloodline?" Galos interrupted her, the corner of his mouth curling slightly. "In your view, the standard for determining a dragon’s right and wrong isn’t through concrete actions and choices, but rather by their inherent bloodline?"
The Silver Dragon almost shouted, "Yes!"
"Your bloodline predestines you to walk the path of evil and chaos! This is an ingrained nature! Your current calmness and argument are merely a cunning disguise."
Upon hearing this, the Red Iron Dragon did not get angry but instead grinned slightly.
His gaze swept over all the Giant Dragons present, his voice clearly spreading across the sky.
"Elders who are knowledgeable here should all know, the Platinum Dragon God, who presides over justice and order, and the Immortal Dragon Queen, who symbolizes chaos and destruction, were originally from the same root in a distant era."
"From a bloodline theory perspective, these two also share the same source of blood."
His gaze returned to Finell, asking, "Miss Finell, according to your logic, does this mean the Platinum Dragon God is also destined to walk the path of evil?"
Isn’t it just putting labels and magnifying a point infinitely?
Such logic is too simple for him.
The Red Iron Dragon easily elaborated, even extrapolating it to the extreme, placing a symbolic idealism heavy enough to crush any Metal Dragon upon the Silver Dragon.
"You! You... how dare you...!"
The Silver Dragon Finell’s face turned ashen, her body trembling with rage, yet unable to utter a word, not knowing how to counter this piercing statement.
The Red Iron Dragon narrowed his eyes slightly, his Long Wei slightly restrained, but became more concentrated.
He spoke solemnly, his voice like the clash of steel, "What I, Galos Ignas, do is based on my true self, not my origin."
"Whoever wants to kill me should be prepared to be killed by me, whether they’re a Five-Colored Dragon, a wild beast, or... a Metal Dragon like you, self-proclaimed as just yet akin to Evil Dragons."
His massive dragon body moved a step forward, bringing an invisible sense of oppression, his eyes like torches, staring directly at the Silver Dragon Finell.
"Do you want revenge for your son? Fine, I understand and accept this hatred derived from blood."
"Come on, I’m right here in front of you."
"Challenge me, in the oldest and most straightforward way among us dragons."
"It’s just right, with all the elders present as witnesses, I, Galos Ignas, promise to accept your challenge and engage in a duel that determines life and death, irrespective of right or wrong."
The Silver Dragon trembled and was about to agree.
"Calm down! Finell!"
The Legendary Bronze Dragon beside her hastily intervened.
The Silver Dragon Finell is not a Giant Dragon Elder herself, although a Legendary Giant Dragon, her level is not particularly high, and she has lived in relatively peaceful Dragon Domains for years, severely lacking genuine life and death combat experience.
If truly provoked to agree to this duel... the consequences would be unpredictable.
That Red Iron Dragon, with a body full of Battle Scar Patterns, is also the Dragon Domain Champion.
Even if he just broke through, he’s far stronger than ordinary Legendary Giant Dragons and not someone to be trifled with.
The Sea Emperor Dragon Elder, trying to ease the atmosphere, sighed again, his dragon eyes filled with complex emotions.
He looked at the almost out-of-control Finell and said, "Finell, enough, let this matter end here."
"You have already seen the one you wanted to see. We should return to the Raging Waves Dragon Domain. Continuing to entangle will only dishonor the deceased and trap the living in a deeper cycle of pain and hatred."
The Sea Emperor Dragon then turned his gaze to the Red Iron Dragon, speaking gravely, "Galos... your words are not without reason."
"I can also see that you’re not an ordinary Evil Dragon, but once the seeds of hatred are sown, they are difficult to eradicate. I hope you are cautious and take care of yourself."
These words, on the surface, were a warning, but upon closer reflection, contained a hint of kindly reminder.
Galos nodded lightly in response, saying nothing more.
The Silver Dragon Finell stared intently at Galos, then, without a word, flapped her wings vigorously and flew off into the distance without looking back, with the other dragons following suit.
The island returned to peace again.
A Legendary conflict that almost erupted ended with Galos’s appearance and unyielding stance, drawing a full stop.
Subsequently, the tense atmosphere gradually returned to normal.
"The Long Wei is quite fierce, it seems your harvest is substantial." The Old Golden Dragon looked at Galos curiously, asking, "How many traits have you shaped, five, six?"
With wings spread, the Red Iron Dragon nodded and said, "Hm, more or less."
He didn’t give a specific number.
