Chapter 725: Chapter 424: Golden Dragon King, Departure (2)

"I should warn you, our Galos won’t go easy on you just because you’re a Golden Dragon!"

On the other side, Alberto was also more than eager to stir things up, deliberately lifting his chin with an arrogant look.

He jumped to Galos’s front-right side and sneered at Kalus, "Hmph! Thinking of a second challenge?"

"Heh, I advise you to think it over carefully."

"He’ll surely beat you down to your knees, then humiliate you to make you understand what disparity truly is!"

Kalus’s steps faltered at that.

He looked at the two in front of him, whose behavior was so unlike the usual composed demeanor of Golden Dragons, more like ruffians, with a gaze of uncertainty and suspicion in his emerald eyes.

These two... are they really noble Golden Dragons?

Why do they seem like some Evil Dragons in disguise causing trouble?

Seeing these two Golden Dragons behaving unseriously, Galos almost couldn’t maintain his composure.

"Enough, you two."

He spoke in a deep voice, taking a step forward, using his robust body to push Nasha and Alberto to the sides, and stood firmly in front of Kalus again.

He looked calmly at Kalus, nodding slightly.

"My two companions have rather boisterous personalities; their words might have been offensive, but it’s not intentional."

The look of surprise and suspicion slowly faded from Kalus’s face, returning to its previous calm.

He shook his head, showing no signs of anger, and said in a peaceful tone, "Hmm... such personalities in a Golden Dragon are indeed rare."

"However, genuine clansmen are always better than those polite but insincere ones."

Having said that, Kalus’s gaze fell on Galos again, becoming serious.

"Galos Ignas, Red and Iron Dragon."

"Although not long ago, we engaged in a battle in the arena in our Giant Dragon forms, may I now formally introduce myself in human form — I am Kalus Villaperrion."

He straightened his back, gracefully placing his right hand on his left chest, performing a simple yet standard Metal Dragon salute.

Finally encountering a genuine Golden Dragon that matches the image recorded in the legacy!

Galos felt a slight emotion swell in his heart, even a peculiar excitement.

Before this, the Golden Dragons he had come into contact with, altogether, only amounted to Alberto’s family.

However, this family of Golden Dragons... truly cannot be judged by common sense, each having their own "unique" traits, and each personality was more unexpected than the last.

In comparison, Kalus’s behavior and manners were more aligned with the orthodox Golden Dragon image described in his Dragon’s Legacy.

"My visit here is not to stir up trouble or salvage so-called dignity," Kalus said candidly, his gaze sincere and clear, "I lost that battle wholeheartedly."

"The power and skill you displayed deeply impressed me."

His eyes glittered with earnest light as he continued, "I have always considered myself not weak among my peers, and for a time, I couldn’t help but become prideful due to the flattery and praise of my clansmen, thinking I could sweep through all creatures below the legendary status."

"But that battle with you was like a bucket of cold water over my head, making me recognize and abandon my arrogance and regain clarity."

"It made me truly aware of what it means to be forewarned against overconfidence, that there are always stronger adversaries out there."

Galos’s calm gaze watched as he continued, "Thus, I hope we can be acquainted."

"Not for any other ulterior motives, but out of the simple desire to know a dragon like you, and if possible, I would love to learn some battle techniques and experience from you."

These words were steady and composed, filled with respect for the powerful and reflection on his own path.

Compared to him, Nasha and Alberto, who were still winking and trying to stir up trouble beside them, appeared even more unusual.

Galos looked into Kalus’s serene and distinctive green eyes, and that sense of familiarity emerged again, faintly.

However, this feeling was still vague, like seeing flowers in the mist, unable to capture a precise source.

He didn’t delve further, calming his mind, as he reassessed the impressive Golden Dragon before him.

"Your demeanor is commendable, Kalus," Galos’s voice was somewhat gentler than before, "In that battle, you also let me witness the indomitable will and tenacity of a Golden Dragon."

"As for seeking guidance... there’s no need to go that far."

"Exchanging skills and advancing together is equally beneficial for me. I am more than willing to engage in exchanges with you in the future if possible."

Hearing Galos’s response, Kalus was moved.

The reputation of Evil Dragons was widespread.

Before coming, he had mentally prepared, expecting possibly a cold reception or even verbal humiliation from the other party.

However, he hadn’t anticipated this Red Iron Dragon to be so magnanimous and broad-minded.

Though indubitably the victor, his words bore no arrogance or conceit, instead treating him, the defeated, with equality and honesty.

His gaze inadvertently swept across Deborah, Nasha, and others around, realizing something in his heart.

No wonder a Red and Iron Dragon could gather these Metal Dragons around him... though among them, the personalities of those two Golden Dragon clansmen seemed... a bit unconventional, gaining their genuine acknowledgment was in itself an extraordinary skill.

"In that battle, I lost thoroughly; I know the root cause lies in the vast gap in strength between us," Kalus earnestly asked, "But, I believe there must also be areas where I can improve."
