“Why isn’t Alan screaming?” Alexa stopped herself just when they were about to jump into each other’s embrace.

And that made both Glory and Beato stop before jumping too.

“Oh right, why isn’t he screaming?” Beato was the first to follow suit into Alexa’s question.

“Do you feel okay Alan?” Glory asked worried, “Do you need to go potty?”

“Don’t mind me, carry on with the shenanigans.” Alan ignored the question, “You need to finish your spectacle while you can.”

“While we can?” Glory said turning to Alexa, “Will we not be able to do it?”

“But why wouldn’t we?” Beato said frowning from the side as she crossed both arms atop her chest, “Who would dare to interrupt such a sacred event?”

“Yeah, what she said.” Alexa was confused, “Do you want me to ask the CRADDLE person?”

Alexa could always cheat and ask the big boss, privileges were there to be abused after all.

“Please don’t.” Alan however groaned, “I meant that the teachers may find fault if you three go jumping around, besides, while I don’t doubt you and Beatrice are sturdy enough, do remember that Glory is squishy.”

“I am not fat!” Glory complained, “I am aeronautic!”

“You are aerostatic?!?!?” Alexa was surprised, she hadn’t expected Glory to move her [Core Power] into that side! How did Alexa not think of doing that first!?!?

“Mother Rona said that Grandmother Rossie always proclaimed that being flat meant being aeronautic, so that means that Glory is one step closer to… [Divinity]!” Beato gasped as she covered her mouth in amazement, “According to Momma Elisee, Grangran took almost like Eighteen years to achieve that!”

“Eighteen years!?!?!?” Alexa gasped like Beato had done before, “That’s like forever! Alexa would be so old by then if she took eighteen years to achieve something! Might as well do nothing!”

Alexa didn’t know what [Divinity] was, or why it took so long, but if Beato’s GranGran did it, then it was probably important.

“… Wonder if they would let me change classes? No, gotta hang on. Glory trusts and needs you Alan Harmonia.” Alan meanwhile was speaking to himself, why was he doing that? He was not Cute like Alexa, it didn’t work if you weren’t cute.

“I know right! I said the same!” Beato nodded after Alexa said her bit, “But Glory achieved it! Can you show us some of the aerospacial powers?!?!?”

“…But I don’t have aerostatic powers.” Glory deflated as she revealed the truth, “I have [Soul] kind of powers.”

“[Soul]?” Alexa was confused, “What’s that?”

“It’s what we have inside our chesttos!” Beato responded with a sagely nod, “Momma Elisee said that her Momma had powers in that, and every time Momma Elisee says that. Mother Rona groans and says that it doesn’t count because the Momma of Mother Rona is the one that was doing all the heavy lifting.”

“But what’s it? Is it tasty?” Alexa asked the important stuff, she didn’t care who did it or how, she wanted to know if she should nom them!

“They are speaking about our identities beyond what our bodies represent.” Alan answered with a sigh, “It’s what makes you, yourself. The part that no one else can have, the Alexa bit that no one can replicate, and the thing that makes each of us unique.”

“…Our names?” Beato asked as she tilted her head to the right. “That’s something that is unique to me, no one else is called Beato besides me. So that’s the [Soul]?”

“Our [Consciousness Stream]?” Alexa said almost at the same time, “But that’s the [Consciousness Stream], it’s not called [Soul].”

Alexa was confused, was there something besides the [Consciousness Stream] inside herself?

Alexa was almost sure that they had already discussed this and they didn’t find anything like that.

[Notice, existence of Soul was theorized and spoken at some point. But the empirical evidence found nothing on the like. It is theorized that the Soul they are speaking is merely the name they gave to the Consciousness Streams.]

See, [Main Core] said the same.

“Hmm…. But my Core Powers are called that.” Glory said turning to Alan, “Right? That’s why I am [Soul].”

“Shhh!” Alan quickly jumped and covered Glory’s mouth, all the same time he was looking around, but no one else was around. Most of the other students had left as soon as the test ended.

The same could be said of the [Teach Baking] and Theater person combo.

Only Glory, Alexa, Alan and Beato had remained in the room.

“You promised that it would be a secret.” Alan frowned as he turned to Alexa and Beato, “Please. Do not spread it okay?”

“It’s fine Alan!” Glory spoke as she removed the hand of Alan, “They are trustworthy! I mean, I trust Alexa…And Beato seems okay-ish when she is not being a meanie!”

“Yeh! Trust Alexa!” Alexa said patting her chest, “Alexa can keep secrets! [Main Core]! Stop Alexa from revealing Glory’s secret!”

[…Acknowledged, adding new parameters to the GROWING list of things Host is unable to speak about.]

“See? [Main Core] said that they will stop Alexa from revealing the secret!” Alexa nodded sagely, she was so smart, using [Main Core] to stop her from speaking, how could Alexa be this smart? It was probably illegal. Good thing she was a Minion or she wouldn’t be able to get away with this.

“You can trust me too!” Beato jumped off from her raised place in the next row of raised desks into the same level as Glory, Alan and Alexa. “I swear it on my name as [The Beacon of Justice]!”

“…” “…I swear to god, I must have lived some kind of terrible life on my past life…” Glory said nothing and only tilted her head, while Alan facepalmed himself, “Just to confirm… But that [Beacon of Justice] would be the new sidekick that is making a storm going around and beating the heck out of anyone they perceive as villains… right?”

“I don’t beat anyone that I perceive as villain!” Beato said kicking the ground and creating a few cracks on the floor… Cracks that mended itself a second later, “If they get hurt, then that means they are baddies! Mother Rona said that my powers only worked on meanies! So if they get hurt they are meanies!”

“…Does it work like that?” Alexa asked intrigued, she hadn’t wondered if her own powers would only work in a type or subtype of [Humans] before.

[A note was found on Subject: Beatrice Starcroft. Her power seems to work based on her own perception, so it is possible that her power would work like that. On the other hand, host’s powers work based on the physical rules of the universe. So there is no reason why her powers would stop working because the lifestyle of the target.]

That was good, Alexa didn’t want to find out that her powers didn’t work in an enemy at a bad moment, that would be a bad thing to find out like that.

“… So that would mean Alexa is also a sidekick or Hero in training then?” Alan turned to Alexa, “Please tell me you are not one…”

“Alexa is not a Hero or a sidekick.” Alexa shook her head, “Alexa doesn’t think she would be a good one, also Ale and the [Mom] person forbid Alexa from getting into those thingies, they said it was too dangerous for Alexa.”

“It’s okay Alexa!” Glory quickly got besides Alexa and hug her from the right, “Its boring anyway, last mission we did nothing! All we did was run around and do nothing! If not for the side quest we had we would have spent all night doing nothing!”

“Yeah, the fights aren’t that good. Mother Rona said that there isn’t anything interesting in Ohio and that’s why they allowed me to come here.” Beato also nodded as she silently set herself at the left of Alexa. “Momma Elisee said that if I was lucky I may find out GranGran in the island, so my current mission is to find them and see if Master came to the island.”

“Master?” Glory quickly latched on that, “Who is your master? Do you think they will be our master too? Alan wants to be a serious [Super Hero]!”

“Our powers are too differen-“ Alan started in a dismissive tone only to stop himself short, “Alexa… Did you also help Beatrice? No, we saw her trigger her powers. So did you use her as a base to help us then? Shouldn’t be the case since my power seems similar to yours, and Glory’s power also seem like a subtype of yours…”

“Don’t mind Alan.” Glory quickly added from the side, “So, can you ask your master?”

“I can check.” Beato seemed to be thinking something as she spoke, “But I don’t know, they are a hidden master. They are serious stuff, and besides Master is so powerful she managed to defeat thousand of zombies alone and left no evidence of it! At all! That’s like… not even [SuperForce] can do that! Momma Elisee could probably do it, same as Mother Rona. But they don’t count since they are Moms! Moms are invisible!”

“Leaving aside the dubious statement.” Alan spoke after nodding at himself, did he got to an answer to his mumblings? Alexa hoped it was satisfactory, “Can you check? I wouldn’t mind the help, more so if they can deal with you.”

“I’ll ask Master next time I see her.” Beato nodded, “Do you want me to ask for you too Alexa? Master wouldn’t mind helping, even if you aren’t going to be a [Hero] you could get some help.”

“Alexa is okay.” Alexa said as she thought on that, Beato’s master was Ale right? So then Alexa couldn’t be also a student, because Ale was Alexa’s sister! How could she become a student under her own sister? That’s not okay!

She would get bullied twice!

Or well, she could get bullied twice! Ale hadn’t bullied her in some time…. And Ale also got Alexa’s breakfast, so she was being good for Alexa, but even so Alexa needed to be careful!

What if Ale became a meanie again? Then if Alexa was her student she would bully Alexa twice as much! That would be no good!

“Also, Alexa’s power are too different to yours.” Alexa added as she nodded, that was a good excuse. Besides, Ale’s new powerset was weird, she had all their powers like always, but for some reason her Main Core was not behaving like [Main Core], so Ale was having a hard time using their powers like usual.

Alexa didn’t understand why that was, all she needed was to reestablish the connection and…

[Connection reestablished… Starting synchronization…]

[Synchronization in progress, please stand by.]

Oh, yeah like that.

“If you are sure.” Beato nodded at Alexa, “The life of a [Hero] is a loney life, I am sure Master would say the same.”

“That sounds so coolz!” Glory’s eyes were shinning right now, because as she said, that was a coolz line. Alexa also wanted to say one like that, also it did sound like something Ale would say.

As expected of Ale’s disciple. Beato, such a terrifying girl. But that wouldn’t stop Alexa! She would still check with Ale about it!

No wait, why did she need to check with Ale? She wasn’t going to be Ale’s student anyway, she didn’t need to, she could just ask Ale to teach her in case Alexa wanted to learn something of that!

That was a better plan.

“Then all three of us are in the Hero side.” Alan said yet again, turning to Alexa next, “And you are neutral.”

“Alan too?!!?!?” Beato suddenly jumped surprised at that, “Even when he is like that?!?!?”

“Excuse me?” Alan asked confused, and probably offended if Alexa was interpreting his expression right.

“I know,” Glory said as she nodded with a sigh in each nod, “I am doing my best, but he is just so…”

“You have it hard.” Beato also sighed and patted Glory’s shoulder, “Stay strong, I am sure one day he will heal…”

“I am the only normal here you know.” Alan complained, “Like, I should be the one complaining.”

“Poor thing…” Beato said once again, a tear forming on her eyes, “He isn’t even aware…”

“Papa said that Alan would get better with time.” Glory closed her eyes as she raised her face, a couple tears formed on her eyes even! “There are days… When he is normal even…”

“I am right here… Being normal…” Alan said again, turning to Alexa, “I am normal right?”

“Alexa doesn’t know.” Alexa shrugged, “Alexa isn’t normal either, she is an Alexa after all.”

“… Well at least you are self aware, unlike them…” Alan seemed relieved for some weird reason, and Alexa wasn’t sure why but that annoyed her. He didn’t say that Alexa was normal, that was his cue to say that Alexa was normal!

“Like… Yesterday he didn’t even react when Magmo was live!” Glory said as she started crying.

“He didn’t react to Magmo?!!??” Beato was surprised and even went as far as covering her mouth.

“Oh…” Alexa slowly turned to look at Alan, “So we kill him.”

It was quite the easiest solution to the problem at hand, if Alexa was to be honest, he probably had something wrong going on her head.

“Alexa no.” Alan raised a finger and made a stop motion, “We don’t kill people just because we don’t understand them.”

[Argument flawed, most of the wars fought by humanity were for that same reason.]

“Yeah, Alexa no.” Glory said pointing at Alan, “The problem is inside his head, so maybe if we fix that.”

“But how do we fix it?” Beato asked in a thoughtful pose, “Momma Rona said that problems of the head are the hardest to deal with, that’s why we haven’t seen any of the GranGrans. Because they are fixing their head issues!”

Alexa was confused, problems in the head? Did they have a faulty [Blueprint], that shouldn’t be, Alexa and Ale had worked on the rework of their blueprints. They should be working fine, so what was the problem then?

“So the problem is in the head huh…” Alexa slowly turned to look at Alan, who for some reason gulped and took half a step back, “All we need is to check inside to see if there is an issue then.”

That was easy to do, all Alexa needed to do was get a wiggle inside, good thing the head had so many entry points. And Alexa had all the wiggles in the world to get inside.
