Chapter 2840: A Wonderful Time for Two (13)

What kind of tourism industry remains unchanged for fifteen years?

This place is exactly the same as she remembers, as if the whole Flower Valley has been frozen in time by magic.

Meimei stood still for a few seconds, closed her eyes, and tried to remember, then stepped towards the depths of the Flower Valley.

The vast Flower Valley was divided into several large areas, segmented into plots of flower fields according to the type of flowers, vibrant and extraordinarily beautiful.

Butterflies and bees swirled among the blooming flower buds.

Meimei quickly walked to a sunflower field, reached out to remove the sign, and her pale fingers touched the loose soil.

Her fingertips touched a box, and her eyes lit up.

She swiftly brushed away the soil and dug out the box. Seeing the brand new box, her eyes darkened slightly with disappointment.

It wasn’t the one they buried while playing house back then…

Fifteen years have passed, and even if the box was still there, it wouldn’t look so new.

She had thought too much about it; even if the layout was the same, some things were already gone.

“Since you’ve unearthed a treasure, why don’t you open it and see what’s inside?” Dan Tingye’s magnetic voice sounded behind her. Before Meimei could turn around, he had already walked to her side, reached out to help her stand up, pulling her in front of him, and gently wiped her hands clean with a handkerchief.

Bit by bit, he cleaned off the soil from her fingers, then stopped and placed the box back in her hands.

Meimei gazed at the box in her palm, swallowed hard, unsure if she should open it.

“This isn’t the box I buried…” She couldn’t casually peek into someone else’s belongings.

“I buried it.” Dan Tingye calmly replied, smiling as he observed her conflicted face, seemingly aware of what she was thinking, “I want you to see it so you can look.”

“…”

Meimei tightened her grip on the box. As she opened it, she instinctively closed her eyes, and the next moment, couldn’t help but peek through a slither.

Seeing the two grass rings quietly lying in the box, her hand trembled, and the small box nearly slipped from her grasp.

Tears instantly welled up in her eyes…

“These are our rings; these are ours… They are still here… They are still here…” Meimei, overwhelmed, clutched the box, sat on the ground, and cried her heart out.

Her fingers repeatedly caressed the faded grass rings. After touching them several times, she noticed the surface was very smooth, as though it had been coated with wax, and looked at Dan Tingye in shock.

“The plant fibers aren’t suitable for long-term preservation, so I used transparent resin to seal the rings.” This way, these childhood play rings could be preserved forever.

Dan Tingye’s gaze was deep, like a vast ocean, ready to pull her into his world.

“What about the box?” Meimei choked back tears as she asked.

“It was damaged, and I couldn’t find an identical one, so I replaced it with a new one.” Dan Tingye’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, seeing she reacted as he had anticipated, overwhelmed with emotion, but also tinged with a hint of sympathy.

“What else have you done that I don’t know about?” As soon as Meimei spoke, tears blurred her vision again.

Her petite body was embraced by him, her head resting on his chest, as scenes since her return filled her mind…

Before she could fully comprehend, she found herself pressed into the flower bed by Dan Tingye, who lowered his head and kissed her lips…
