Chapter 203: Your Mother’s Favourite (Part - 2)

"You!" Gu Bao was left speechless and wide-eyed for a brief second before his face filled with fury.

Maybe because he was drowning in his newly found Origin Realm Strength, or was confused that he still called the shots in Gu Clan.

But he was so consumed by his own entitlement that he completely forgot exactly who he was talking to.

In anger he reached his hand out, grabbing a teacup directly from the jade table in front of madam Li and smashed it onto the ground, shattering it into pieces.

CRASH!

The courtyard instantly became silent, and even the cold breeze seemed to stop.

Madam Li slowly looked down at the shattered porcelain, and then back at Gu Bao. the expression on her face did not change one bit. Which to be honest, made it even scarier.

"Are you done throwing your little tantrum?" Madam Li softly asked.

"No," Gu Bao pointed towards the sky, "I trained day and night in the Li Clan to breakthrough to the Origin Realm!"

"Will you come to the point?" Madam Li turned her attention back to the tea cup, "I quite liked it."

"And I come home only to watch that trash sit over my head?!"

"You have been back for less than half an hour."

"He should be kneeling!"

"And yet you have already broken my teacup."

"He should be..."

"Enough."

Two simple words instantly made Gu bao stop talking.

Not because he wanted to, but because the pressure radiating from Madam Li was overwhelming enough to crush him on the ground. At this moment, Gu bao was using every ounce of his strength to keep himself from kneeling.

"Stop acting like a pathetic, brainless child that you are, Gu Bao," Madam Li’s voice dropped to a dangerous, icy whisper that immediately made the temperature in the spiritual garden plummet, aggressively forcing her son to take a heavy step back.

She crossed her arms as she glared down at him with disdain.

"If you do not shut your mouth and leave right this exact second, I will cripple your cultivation and send you on the streets begging!" Madam Li threatened, refusing to let this spoiled brat ruin what she had carefully built with her master.

Gu Bao’s body trembled. His mother had never once spoken to him with such unfamiliar disdain and hostility.

"Mother!" Gu Bao’s arrogance dissolved as he looked at his mother teary-eyed, "I am your son! I should come first!"

"Things have changed," Madam Li folded her arms, "You are no longer the first."

"Wha...?!" Gu bao opened his mouth to argue back but words did not come out of his mouth. He felt betrayed by the woman who used to dote on his every single whim.

"Wow, looks like I violently interrupted a beautiful family reunion," A lazy voice drifted into the courtyard, "Should I come back later?"

And this made both Madam Li and Gu Bao turn.

Gu Fan chuckled, casually strolling into Madam Li’s courtyard with his heavy hands behind his back, with a cheeky smirk resting perfectly on his handsome face.

Gu Bao immediately spun around on his heels, his eyes locking onto Gu Fan’s face, and the hatred running through his veins overrode his basic common sense.

"YOU!" Gu Bao’s face instantly turned purple, and his sword flashed from its sheath, "You crippled piece of shit!"

Gu Bao roared at the top of his lungs, pointing the tip straight at Gu Fan’s throat, "You dare walk into my mother’s courtyard without permission?! I will chop your legs for that."

"While you were away, I kept mother company," Gu Fan glanced at the sword, then at Gu Bao and he didn’t even bother to look at the shining blade, ignoring it like a wooden toy. And then he began walking past Gu Bao, towards Madam Li, "You are no longer her favourite."

"I am your mother’s favourite!"

"Shut up! And stop right there," Gu Bao yelled, "Don’t you see my sword?"

"I noticed," Gu Fan stopped, turning to look at Gu Bao.

"Then why didn’t you stop?"

"Because I am not here for you," Gu Fan shrugged, "And I don’t want to keep mother waiting."

Gu Bao’s eyes twitched and Madam Li smiled warmly. Her husband was so romantic.

Gu Fan casually stopped beside the table, and helped Madam Li to sit back in her chair.

"I am heading into town," Gu Fan told Madam Li, "I have got business at the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion."

And as he leaned in to whisper these words to her, Gu Fan deliberately let his fingers brush against Madam Li’s smooth white neck, gently tracing circles over her skin.

"Ummmm!" The moment Gu Fan’s rough fingers touched her skin, Madam Li’s angry posture instantly melted away like soft snow under a boiling sun as her thighs closed together, rubbing against each other.

"I will have the guards prepare a carriage for you," madam Li managed to speak through the flutter she felt in her chest.

"There is no need," Gu Fan told madam Li while he stroked her hair gently, "I will be fine on my own."

"Okay!" Madam Li did not argue back as her breath hitched noticeable, her breasts heaving against her tight purple silk dress.

A visible red blush again crept up her neck while underneath the jade table, her thick, pale thighs pressed tightly together, her pussy already leaking sweet juice from Gu Fan’s casual touch.

"Let me see you out," Madam Li stood up, ignoring her furious son as she looked up at Gu Fan with a sweet, incredibly radiant smile that even Gu Bao had never seen.

She gently reached her delicate hands forward to perfectly adjust the dark collar of Gu Fan’s robes, "Please be careful out there in the town. Many sour grapes are out there to get you."

"Huh?!" Gu Bao looked from one to the other, "...That’s it? That’s all?"

"He says he’s leaving..." Gu Bao stood frozen pointing at the empty air, unable to understand why his mother’s terrifying, murderous aura had suddenly vanished, "And you are arranging transportation?"

He pointed at himself, "I have been shouting for ten minutes!"

"It’s hard not to notice that."

"Mother!" Gu Bao was frustrated by the nonchalance in his mother’s attitude all this while, ’I have important matters to discuss!"

"So does he," Madam Li sighed.

"I am your son!" Gu Bao tried to play the victim card.

"Honestly, I am starting to regret that," Madam Li blurted out, not holding back.

"You..." Gu Bao almost coughed blood, staggering on his knees, only to be supported by Gu Fan who gently patted his shoulder.

"Don’t get angry," Gu Fan whispered into Gu Bao’s ears, "It’s bad for the kidneys."

"And you can live as a cripple..."

"But bad kidneys?" Gu Fan said, eyeing Gu Bao’s crotch, "You will never be the same."

"Ughh!" A nearby maid lowered her head so quickly she almost headbutted the floor to hide her laughter.

Gu Bao heard it, he definitely heard it. Someone dared to laugh? At him?

Meanwhile, Madam Li didn’t even bother to look back at him, her eyes focused only on Gu Fan as she casually waved her delicate hand towards the young maid who just laughed.

"You over there," Madam Li ordered the trembling maid with a dismissive tone. She readily wanted her son to be out of her face as soon as possible, "Look after Young Master Bao. He must be tired from his long journey."

"Escort Young Master Bao back to his residence." Madam Li instructed, "And make sure he stays inside his room and does not cause any more unnecessary noise in my garden."

The maid bowed immediately, "Yes, Matriarch."

With that, not wanting to waste another second on her useless son, Madam Li gently placed her hand on Gu Fan’s shoulder, holding his arm with other as she began walking out of the courtyard.

She hasn’t even walked more than a dozen steps and she was already giggling at something that Gu Fan had whispered into her ear.

"Mother?!" Gu Bao stared, "I am not finished talking!"

Madam Li did not stop as she looked over her shoulder, "I am."

Gu Bao stretched out a hand, "Mother!"

But Madam Li was already out of the courtyard, turning a deaf ear to his desperate calls.

"Mother!!"

But both Madam Li and Gu Fan’s figures disappeared through the moon gate, leaving Gu Bao standing in the centre of the courtyard all alone.

"Young Master Bao..." The maid cautiously approached him, "Sh... shall I escort you?"

But Gu Bao stood there completely frozen, as his sword slowly slipped from his numb fingers.

CLANG!

It landed on the stone path, his jaw twitched and his shoulders shook.

"Something..." Gu Bao murmured, "Is seriously wrong with this clan."

For the first time since returning, Gu Bao felt a cols shudder through his spine.

’What happened while I was gone?’

’My Mother...’

"She is not the same.’
