Amon sat in the first class of the day, Spiritual Energy Theory, with his chin resting lightly against one hand.

The classroom was already filled with students.

Nolan Reed was also there but he choose to sit far away this time.

Amon could feel the gaze of all the girls in the class who were all checking him out.

’....Have I really turned into a gigachad?’ He mused to himself.

Amon opened his system window and looked through the notification he had ignored the previous day.

----

[Quest Completed.]

[Quest: Hunt the Blood]

[Objective: Kill a Vampire.]

[Status: Completed.]

[Reward: Bloodbane Sigil]

[Grade: Diamond]

[Description: A mysterious sigil containing the authority to recognize and suppress vampiric bloodlines.]

[Additional Effect: Attacks made against vampires will partially ignore their blood-based regeneration.]

Amon stared at the notification for several seconds. ’Another item related to vampires...’

He rubbed his chin while reading the description one more time.

The reward was strange with an ability specifically designed to kill vampires.

Amon frowned slightly. ’Did a vampire took stole your wife, system?’

The timing bothered him.

Why would the system rewarded him with an ability specifically suited for hunting vampires?

It was as though the system knows he would encounter them more.

Amon narrowed his eyes. ’Coincidence?’

He didn’t believe in coincidences anymore.

Still, he didn’t have enough information to understand the system’s intentions.

At that moment, the classroom door opened.

A woman walked inside with several books held against her chest.

She appeared to be in her early thirties, with long dark-brown hair tied loosely behind her head and calm green eyes.

Her simple white-and-blue professor’s uniform lacked the extravagant decorations worn by many noble instructors.

She placed the books on the desk and smiled at the students. "Good morning, everyone. My name is Professor Elara Wynne, and I will be teaching Spiritual Energy Theory this semester."

Her gaze slowly moved across the classroom. "I don’t expect any of you to understand everything immediately."

"Spiritual energy is considerably more complicated than ordinary mana, and many scholars have spent their entire lives studying only a small portion of it."

Several students immediately straightened.

Professor Elara picked up a piece of chalk and wrote three words on the board.

Spirit. Fairies and Elves.

"These three concepts are closely connected, although most humans don’t understand how."

She turned toward the class as she tapped the first word. "Spirit is the foundation."

Then she pointed toward the word elves.

"Elves developed an unusually strong relationship with spiritual energy over countless generations."

She finally pointed at faires. "And finally, the most important, faires who heavily favor elves."

Amon listened quietly.

Professor Elara continued. "That does not mean every elf is stronger than every human. However, elves possess a natural advantage when interacting with spirits."

She paused before adding another point. "And it’s undeniable that they are ahead of us."

’...A strange connection between the elves and the Spirit World, huh?’ Amon mused to himself.

Professor Elara continued explaining the subject, eventually moving toward the different ways spiritual energy could interact with living beings.

"Remember this," she said while looking across the classroom. "Spiritual energy isn’t simply another type of mana. It is connected to consciousness, emotion, memory, and the essence of living beings."

Amon’s expression became thoughtful. That explanation was considerably closer to what he had experienced.

The bell eventually rang, signaling the end of the lecture.

Professor Elara closed her book.

"Next class, we’ll discuss the difference between spiritual energy and soul energy."

Students began gathering their belongings.

Amon stood and walked out of the class.

---

Amon found Seraphina and walked through the university hallway together while students moved around them in every direction.

Seraphina sighed heavily. "All my classes are boring."

Amon chuckled. "What were you expecting?"

"I don’t know. Something more interesting." She looked at him with a slightly dissatisfied expression. "It would be better if we could just stay together all day."

Amon glanced at her. "That would probably be bad for both of us."

Seraphina groaned. "Whyyy??"

Amon smiled. "It’s good for us to depend on each other, but being overly dependent on someone isn’t healthy either. We both need our own lives, friends, skills, and goals."

Seraphina nodded reluctantly.

"You’re right." She adjusted the books in her arms.

"What’s your next class?" Amon asked.

"Advanced Ice Magic."

Amon smiled. "I’d actually love to learn more about ice magic from you."

Seraphina looked at him as though he had said something ridiculous. "You’re more talented than me. You should be the one teaching me."

Amon blinked as he suddenly remembered. "Wait, we never used Dual cultivation."

Seraphina’s face immediately turned red.

She raised the book in her hand and smacked him against the shoulder. "Stop saying things like that!"

Amon chuckled. "I’m only talking about cultivation."

"You know exactly what you’re doing."She looked away, still embarrassed. "Be ready after class."

"Why?"

"You’ll finally meet my friend."

Amon opened his mouth to reply and he stopped immediately after.

Someone was walking toward them from the other side of the hallway.

Several students immediately moved aside.

The reason became obvious when the young man came closer.

He had golden hair, sharp blue eyes, and an immaculate royal uniform decorated with gold embroidery.

A small group of students followed several steps behind him. Amon recognized him immediately.

...Prince Arthur. The Crown Prince of this kingdom.

Arthur stopped directly in front of them.

His eyes moved over Seraphina before settling on Amon.

"Amon Arcadia, right?"

His voice carried the arrogance of someone who had spent his entire life surrounded by people who obeyed him.

Amon calmly looked back at him. "How can I help you?"

"...No one told me, you were this handsome." Arthur frowned. "And you should show some respect when speaking to royalty."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Queen Eleanor gave me the permission to speak frankly with the royals."

He lied without a change on his face and the surrounding students became noticeably quieter.

’...It is also to imply that I am closer to her, so this clown doesn’t bother me anymore.’

Arthur looked at Amon once again. "You’re speaking to a prince."

"And?"

Arthur smiled softly. "Don’t let that talent make you forget your position."

Amon smiled faintly as well and replied sarcastically. "Yes sir, how can I speak so frankly with you, I shouldn’t do that."

Arthur nodded. "You are still a commoner."

The hallway became even quieter.

Arthur continued as though he had already decided the outcome of the conversation.

"When someone from the Royal Family speaks to you, you listen. If you are summoned, you come. If you are given an order, you obey."

Amon stared at him for several seconds.

He wasn’t angry, if anything, he found the entire situation amusing.

Arthur seemed to mistake his silence for submission. "Good. At least you understand."

Amon smiled and thought ’...I wonder whether all princes are this arrogant.’

Arthur stepped closer. "I will be the new king of this kingdom soon enough."

He patted Amon’s shoulder and walked past him, saying. "And in the end you will only be my servent."

He walked away without saying anything else.

Amon took in a deep breath and smiled at Seraphina. "Let’s go."

She followed him without hesitation.

As they walked away, Seraphina quietly glanced over her shoulder. "Are you not worried?"

Amon looked at her. "Worried about what?"

"That’s a prince."

Amon smiled. "We don’t need to worry about the Royal Family."

Seraphina frowned. "Why?"

Amon continued walking, his expression calm. "Because they’re not worth worrying about."

He didn’t say anything else.

But deep inside, Amon couldn’t help remembering the approaching disaster that Nadya had seen in the future.

His smile remained on his face. ’...They’re all going to die anyway.’
