Amon quickly formed a thin strand of mana around his fingers.

The thread was almost invisible, blending into the air as he carefully controlled its movement.

With a small movement of his hand, the mana thread shot forward and wrapped around the bee’s body.

The insect immediately began struggling.

Amon pulled his hand back, and the bee was dragged toward him before he caught it in his palm.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he examined the struggling creature.

After everything he had experienced recently, his control over mana had improved considerably.

It was safe to say that his control over the mana thread had become extremely precise.

’...Sorry, little buddy.’ Amon looked at the bee with a faintly apologetic expression. ’But I gotta smack that ass.’

He gathered a small amount of icy mana around his fingers.

The cold energy immediately spread across the bee’s body, freezing it before it could even react.

Amon glanced at the now-motionless insect.

’At least it was quick.’

A knock suddenly came from the door.

Amon immediately straightened.

"Amon?"

It was Marielle again.

"Coming!"

He quickly concealed the frozen bee inside his hand and walked toward the door.

After making sure there was nothing suspicious about his expression, Amon opened it.

Marielle stood outside with a pleasant smile.

"I came to get Seraphina’s bag," she said. "You had both of them, right?"

Amon nodded. "Yeah."

He reached toward his bracelet and retrieved Seraphina’s bag.

He carefully made sure that Marielle couldn’t see what he was holding in his other hand before passing the bag to her.

"Here."

Marielle accepted it.

Her gaze briefly fell toward the bracelet around his wrist. "You know, I should probably get one of those for Seraphina too."

Amon nodded. "I was actually planning to give her one soon."

Marielle’s eyes brightened. "Aww, you’re such a sweet boy."

Amon chuckled. "It would probably be better if you didn’t form an image of me this early."

Marielle tilted her head. "I don’t know. I’m pretty good at figuring out people’s personalities."

Amon smiled. ’You’re really bad at it, then.’

He kept that thought to himself as he glanced toward the hallway.

"I think I’ll take a bath too."

Marielle blinked. "Are you inviting me?"

Amon immediately cleared his throat. "No. You’re really good at joking, aren’t you?"

Marielle giggled. "I was only teasing."

She turned around and began walking toward the stairs. "Go get ready. We’re going out for dinner tonight."

Amon nodded. "Alright."

Marielle took a few steps when Amon suddenly raised his voice.

"Bee!"

Marielle froze as her entire body stiffened.

"Bee?!" She immediately turned around, her eyes widening in panic. "Where?! Where?!"

She looked around frantically, taking several quick steps backward.

Amon struggled to keep a straight face. "It’s here!"

"Where is it?!" Marielle practically jumped in place.

Amon quickly stepped forward and grabbed her with his free hand before she could move away.

Then, with the hand holding the frozen bee, he gave her a quick smack on the ass.

Marielle froze completely in her place.

Her entire body became rigid as she slowly turned her head toward Amon.

For several seconds, she simply stared at him with an expression of absolute disbelief.

Amon immediately put on the most innocent expression he could manage.

He raised his hand and showed her the frozen bee. "It was about to bite you."

Marielle looked at the bee before looking at Amon as her eyes slowly narrowed.

"...Thank you." Her voice was strangely calm.

Amon immediately looked away. "You’re welcome."

Marielle continued staring at him for another few seconds before turning around.

She walked toward the stairs without saying anything else.

Amon watched her disappear around the corner.

He finally released the breath he had been holding. "That was close."

He rubbed his chest and shook his head. ’I’m definitely going to die someday at this rate.’

Despite that thought, a small smile appeared on his face.

Amon quickly looked toward the system window. The quest notification was still floating before him.

A moment later, it changed.

---

[Special Quest Completed!]

[Quest: Friendly Greeting]

[Objective Completed.]

[Reward is being calculated...]

[Congratulations!]

[You have obtained: Moonlit Senses]

[Grade: Diamond]

[Description: A mysterious ability containing traces of an ancient vampire lineage.]

[The ability allows the user to perceive certain hidden characteristics that ordinary vision cannot easily detect.]

[Additional functions will unlock as the user’s understanding of the ability increases.]

---

Amon stared at the notification, and his eyebrows slowly rose. "Diamond rank?"

He rubbed his chin. The reward was considerably better than he had expected.

More importantly, the description was strangely vague.

’Moonlit Senses...’ Amon looked at the ability again.

There was something about the wording that caught his attention. It didn’t simply enhance his vision.

It allowed him to perceive things that ordinary vision couldn’t detect.

’That could be useful.’ Amon began thinking about the possibilities.

If the ability developed alongside him, perhaps there were certain creatures or characteristics that he would eventually be able to recognize.

The reference to an ancient vampire lineage was especially interesting.

’I’ll figure out exactly what it can do later.’ He dismissed the system window and glanced toward the bathroom.

"For now, I need to get ready."

Amon turned around and walked toward the bathroom.

---

[A While Later]

Amon finished taking his bath and changed into a clean outfit.

After fixing his hair and checking his appearance one final time, he left the room and walked downstairs.

The atmosphere inside the bungalow had changed considerably.

The lights had been turned on, giving the interior a warm glow as the evening settled outside.

Amon reached the first floor. He immediately spotted Seraphina standing near the entrance.

She had changed into a beautiful dark-blue dress that reached just below her knees.

The simple waistline hugged her figure in a way that made the soft curves of her body impossible to ignore.

Her long blue hair fell naturally over her shoulders, and the soft lighting made her already striking appearance even more noticeable.

The fabric shifted gently with every small movement, catching the light across her chest and hips.

Seraphina noticed him staring. She walked toward him and waved her hand in front of his face.

"Hello?"

Amon blinked as he smiled. "You look beautiful."

Seraphina’s cheeks immediately gained a faint blush.

She smiled happily. "And you look handsome too."

Amon adjusted his collar. "I’ll take that compliment."

Seraphina giggled. "You should."

Amon wrinkled his nose and looked at her.

’Is it just me, or does she smell horny?’ he thought. ’Wait, has my sense of smell increased?’

The two continued looking at each other for a moment.

Neither seemed particularly interested in breaking the comfortable silence.

However, footsteps suddenly came from the stairs.

They both turned around as Marielle walked out of her room.

She had changed into an elegant black dress that fitted her tall figure perfectly, with a simple neckline and long sleeves that gave her appearance a refined yet modern charm.

Her long purple hair had been brushed neatly and rested over one shoulder.

Amon’s eyes widened slightly. ’...Holy fuck.’

She really was ridiculously attractive.

Marielle noticed his gaze and smiled. "Are you two ready?"

Seraphina nodded. "Yes."

Amon quickly composed himself. "Ready."

Marielle picked up her handbag from the table. "Then let’s go."

The three of them walked toward the entrance together.

Amon followed behind the two women, his expression calm, but deep inside, he couldn’t help thinking about the strange ability he had just received.

’Moonlit Senses...’ He glanced toward Marielle before looking away. ’I’ll have to find out exactly what this thing can do.’
