"We need to talk." Ambrosia pointed toward the sofa. "Sit down."

Amon quietly walked over and sat down.

Ambrosia placed her handbag and the documents on the nearby table before sitting down across from him on the same sofa.

For a long moment, she simply stared at him. She didn’t even blink.

Amon stared back without looking away, his expression remaining calm despite the strange intensity in her gaze.

Finally, Ambrosia broke the silence. "What exactly is going on between you and Felicia?"

Amon blinked. "There is nothing going on between us."

Ambrosia narrowed her eyes. "You don’t have to lie to me."

She tapped her fingers lightly against her knee. "I already know about your partnership with her."

Amon remained silent for a moment before nodding. "I see."

Ambrosia’s eyebrow twitched. "That’s all you have to say?"

Amon looked at her.

Ambrosia leaned forward slightly. "Do I really have to remind you that I’m your mother?"

Amon let out a quiet sigh.

"No." He lowered his gaze for a moment. "You’re right. It was my fault. I should have told you about it."

Ambrosia’s expression softened slightly, but another question immediately came to her mind.

"How did you even find those mana-rich lands?"

Amon looked at her. He raised one hand and pointed toward his own eyes. "These things you’re looking at aren’t ordinary eyes."

Ambrosia stared at him.

Amon’s voice became slightly deeper as he explained. "I can see through almost anything, and I can determine the value of objects just by looking at them."

Ambrosia’s eyes remained fixed on his and for a brief moment, she became completely absorbed in the strange depth of his gaze.

There was something different about his eyes. Something that made it difficult to look away.

Ambrosia quickly caught herself and blinked. "Can you hypnotize women with them?"

Amon stared at her blankly. "...Pardon?"

Ambrosia’s expression suddenly changed as realization dawned on her.

She looked at him suspiciously.

"Wait." Her eyes widened slightly. "Is that why so many girls keep falling for you?"

"Wha--no!" Amon immediately shook his head."I’m not a terrible person."

He frowned slightly and explained. "Whatever a woman feels about me, she feels it of her own free will. I don’t manipulate anyone’s feelings."

Ambrosia opened her mouth before she closed it again.

A faint blush appeared across her cheeks as she looked away. "...Of course."

Amon gave her a suspicious look.

Ambrosia cleared her throat before quietly asking, "Where’s Sidney?"

Amon’s expression immediately became more serious. "She’s in her room. She wasn’t feeling well."

Ambrosia nodded. "I see."

She looked toward the hallway for a moment before becoming quiet again.

The two sat beside each other in silence. Amon could tell that there was something else on her mind.

Eventually, Ambrosia spoke. "Felicia told me one more thing."

Amon turned toward her. "What did she tell you?"

Ambrosia hesitated for a moment before she looked directly at him. "She told me that you like mature women."

Amon didn’t even try to deny it as he simply nodded. "She’s correct."

Ambrosia’s eyes widened. "You shouldn’t think like that!"

Amon blinked. "Why?"

"You should only love women your own age." Ambrosia’s voice became slightly flustered as she spoke.

Amon chuckled. "That’s probably not going to happen."

Ambrosia opened her mouth as though she was about to lecture him. She stopped halfway.

Her expression became complicated before she finally sighed. "...You will never have a healthy relationship."

Amon smiled faintly. "No relationship is healthy, Ambrosia. In one way or another we always find to hurt each other."

Ambrosia looked down at her hands.

After a moment, she quietly asked, "Why didn’t you tell me about your business?"

Amon’s smile faded slightly as he looked toward the floor.

"I wanted to buy a house." Amon lowered his voice. "I wanted to surprise you."

Ambrosia glanced at him. The irritation that had been lingering in Ambrosia’s expression disappeared almost instantly.

Her eyes softened as she slowly shifted closer to him.

"You don’t have to do all that for me."

Amon shook his head.

"I wanted to." He looked at her with a small smile. "I wanted to see you happy."

His voice became quieter. "And I want you to live without constantly worrying about money or anything else, regardless of how much time passes."

Ambrosia’s fingers intertwined nervously.

She looked down at the floor and for several seconds, she didn’t say anything.

Then she quietly asked, "Would you be kind enough to close your eyes?"

Amon blinked. "Why?"

"Just do it."

There was something strangely gentle about her voice.

Amon studied her expression for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright."

He closed his eyes and the room became quiet again.

Amon remained completely still, waiting for whatever Ambrosia was planning.

A faint rustle of clothing came from beside him and he felt Ambrosia move closer.

Amon’s brow twitched slightly. ’...What is she doing?’

He got the answer almost immediately when he felt her breath on her face.

’No way--.’

His thoughts turned mush when he felt her soft lips awkwardly touching his own.

Amon’s heart rate spiked up in an instant as he leaned in and kissed her back.

Ambrosia was quick enough to rise her hand and close his eyes with them before he could open.

Her kiss was comparable to a maiden in love. It was soft, awkward and embarassingly sloppy.

Nonetheless it was filled with love.

Amon had only gotten a feel of her when she abruptly moved back and stood up.

He blinked his eyes and looked at Ambrosia who was standing there with a deep flush on her face.

"It was all hormones." She said, glaring at him. "Don’t think otherwise!?"

Without waiting for his reply she quickly rushed towards her room and closed the door.

Amon sat silently in the living room. He raised his hand and touched his lips.

A soft chuckle excasped his lips before his smile turned brighter.

’...You have already fallen, Ambrosia.’ he thought while standing up. ’In the end, you really will beg me to fuck you properly.’
