Amon put his bedsheet inside the washing machine and started it before walking around the apartment while stretching his arms and shoulders.

His body still felt slightly sore from yesterday, although it wasn’t anything serious.

After everything that had happened, he honestly felt like he deserved a quiet morning.

’....Last night was hectic.’

From filling and drilling up his sister to the unrestrained behaviour of his mother...last night was something else.

The strangest part had been having to carry both of them to their beds after they had become completely unconscious.

Amon let out a soft chuckle as he shook his head. ’What kind of situation have I gotten myself into?’

He was about to walk toward the kitchen when he noticed someone coming out of one of the bedrooms.

Ambrosia stepped into the hallway while yawning.

She was wearing a simple, loose nightgown that reached below her knees, with her hair slightly messy from sleep.

There were faint shadows beneath her eyes, but she still looked surprisingly elegant despite having just woken up.

Her eyes slowly focused on Amon as she froze for a second.

"Good morning." She gave him a small smile.

"Good morning."

Amon returned the smile, but his expression quickly became complicated when memories of the previous night returned to him.

Ambrosia didn’t seem to notice.

She rubbed her forehead before looking around the apartment. "What happened last night?"

Amon blinked. "What do you mean?"

"I don’t remember anything after we left the restaurant."

She walked toward the living room while rubbing her temples. "I remember eating, drinking, and leaving the restaurant, but everything after that is completely blank."

Amon stared at her back for a few seconds before he shook his head. "Nothing happened."

Ambrosia stopped for a second and asked quietly. "Did I do anything funny?"

Amon’s lips twitched. ’...You kissed your son.’

He immediately decided to keep that thought to himself. "No. You didn’t do anything."

Ambrosia turned around and narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Are you sure?"

"Completely."

She continued staring at him before slowly turning away again. "Good thing."

Amon felt a guilty for what he was about to do. ’Hopefully this works.’

"You did say something strange, though." He said.

Ambrosia immediately looked back. "What did I say?"

Amon kept a completely serious expression. "You said you wanted another baby."

Ambrosia froze and her face slowly turned red."I would never say something like that!"

"You definitely did."

"I didn’t!"

"You were very serious about it."

Ambrosia covered her face with both hands and let out a miserable groan. "Why would I tell you that I wanted another baby?"

Amon shrugged innocently. "You were drunk. People say strange things when they’re drunk."

The room suddenly became awkward.

Ambrosia stood there in silence while Amon looked away, and neither of them seemed interested in continuing the conversation.

After several seconds, Ambrosia suddenly heard the washing machine running.

Her expression changed immediately. "What are you washing this early in the morning?"

"My bedsheet."

She turned toward him. "Why?"

Amon cleared his throat. "It’s nothing."

Ambrosia narrowed her eyes again, clearly suspicious of his answer.

Amon decided to change the subject before she could ask anything else. "By the way, let Sidney sleep today. She was complaining about a headache yesterday."

Ambrosia nodded. "I will."

Amon nodded and walked toward the kitchen.

As he passed behind her, he heard Ambrosia mumble something under her breath. "Did he have a nightfall..."

Amon’s lips twitched. He continued walking as though he hadn’t heard anything.

He entered the kitchen and decided that whatever happened in the morning was best forgotten.

---

After getting ready and eating a simple breakfast, Amon grabbed his things and left the apartment.

He got into the car and drove toward Seraphina’s home.

The journey was fairly peaceful, and Amon spent most of it thinking about the capital and everything he needed to prepare before leaving.

He still had several things to take care of.

The moment he arrived at the Vale family’s residence, the large gate opened automatically.

A man in formal clothing walked out and approached the car before giving Amon a respectful bow.

"Young Master Amon, Lady Felicia is waiting for you." He then gestured toward the vehicle. "I’ll take care of the car."

Amon nodded. "Thanks."

He stepped out and handed over the keys before walking toward the enormous residence.

As he entered the grounds, Amon looked around at the perfectly maintained gardens and enormous buildings.

’I really underestimated how much money the Vale family has.’

He had already known they were wealthy, but seeing their residence again made him realize that his understanding of their wealth had been considerably lower than reality.

He soon reached the office and knocked on the door.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in." A mature woman’s voice came from inside.

Amon opened the door.

Felicia was sitting behind the large desk, calmly looking through several documents.

Her pale golden hair fell neatly over her shoulders, while her elegant clothes and composed expression made her look more like a powerful noblewoman than a businesswoman.

Her golden eyes lifted toward him.

Amon walked inside and sat down in one of the chairs opposite her.

He leaned back comfortably. "So, why did you call me?"

Felicia placed the document in her hand on the desk. "You need to find another mana-rich land."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Quickly?"

"Yes."

Amon thought for a moment before asking the question he had been meaning to ask. "Why can’t you just check one land at a time?"

Felicia’s expression became slightly more serious. "Because I’ve had people keeping tabs on me ever since I purchased the first piece of land."

Amon blinked. "Did someone find out about the land?"

"No." Felicia shook her head. "Not exactly."

She leaned back in her chair explaining him everything.

"Someone must have guessed that we found something extraordinary. If I suddenly start personally inspecting several pieces of land, that will confirm their suspicions."

Amon nodded slowly. "And then they’ll increase the surveillance on you."

"Exactly." Felicia folded her arms.

"Once they realize I’m searching for something specific, they’ll start watching every transaction and every location I visit."

Amon nodded again. "So that’s why you want me to find several locations before you get an inspection team to inspect them."

"Yes." Felicia looked directly at him. "I am trusting a lot in your ability to find mana rich land... don’t disappoint me."

Amon straightened in his chair.

"I understand." He gave her a serious nod. "I won’t disappoint you."

Felicia studied him for a moment before giving a small nod. "I know."

She reached beneath a stack of papers and pulled out a document.

"There is something else." She said. "The Duke of Edinburgh wants to see you."

Amon blinked. "Why?"

Felicia remained queit as she pushed the document across the desk toward him.

"Read this first."

Amon picked it up and looked over the first page. "This is..."

"It’s the agreement concerning the land."

Felicia calmly explained.

"It outlines how the profits will be divided between you and me. You need to sign it before the next stage begins."

Amon’s eyes moved down the page.

By the time he reached the financial terms, his eyes had widened considerably.

’...What the hell?’
