Amon quickly changed into a clean set of clothes before walking back into the living room.

"Let’s go."

Ambrosia picked up her purse while Sidney checked herself in the mirror one last time.

The three of them left the apartment together and made their way downstairs.

When they reached the entrance of the building, Ambrosia suddenly stopped.

Her eyes widened slightly when she noticed Amon walking toward the car and taking out the keys.

"Wait." She mumbled. "Where did you get that car?"

Amon unlocked the vehicle and shrugged. "I borrowed it."

Sidney looked at him suspiciously. "From whom?"

Amon opened the driver’s door and glanced at her. "You two don’t need to worry about that."

Sidney stared at him for a moment before shrugging. "Fine."

She immediately walked around the car and opened the front passenger door. "I’m sitting in the front."

Ambrosia’s expression became envious. "Why are you sitting there? I want to sit with him."

Sidney looked at her mother. "But I called it first."

"I didn’t hear you call it."

The two began arguing over the front seat while Amon stood beside the driver’s door, watching them with a tired expression.

Before their argument could escalate, Amon raised his hand. "Ambriosa, you can sit in the front when we come back."

Ambrosia puffed out her cheeks. She looked at him for a few seconds before reluctantly giving up. "Fine."

She walked toward the back seat with a small pout. Amon shook his head and got inside.

The three of them settled into their seats, and Amon started the engine.

The car came to life with a soft hum before he slowly pulled away from the apartment building.

For a few minutes, nobody said anything.

Then Ambrosia suddenly looked toward him. "When did you learn how to drive?"

Amon’s hands tightened slightly around the steering wheel. ’...Oh.’

He had completely forgotten about that.

There weren’t many differences between the cars in this world and the ones from his old world, so driving hadn’t been particularly difficult for him.

In fact, the first time he had driven a car in this world had been when he was with Seraphina.

Amon glanced at Ambrosia through the mirror. "I learned not too long ago."

Ambrosia narrowed her eyes. "You really are a guy with many secrets."

Amon smiled innocently. "You’re thinking too much."

Sidney, who was sitting beside him, leaned slightly forward. "Then you can teach me how to drive too."

Amon nodded. "Sure."

Sidney smiled before settling back into her seat.

Amon continued driving through the streets, and the conversation slowly shifted toward the restaurant they were going to visit.

---

It took around twenty minutes before they reached Evergreen Town.

Amon had decided not to hold back when choosing the restaurant.

After everything that had happened recently, he felt they deserved a proper celebration.

The restaurant he had chosen was one of the more luxurious establishments in the area, with a large glass entrance and warm golden lights shining through the windows.

Amon pulled the car toward the entrance.

Several staff members were already waiting outside for arriving guests.

He stepped out first before walking around the vehicle. He opened Ambrosia’s door and offered her his hand.

She smiled and accepted it, carefully stepping out of the car.

Amon then walked around to Sidney’s side and helped her out as well.

Sidney looked at him with a small smile. "Thanks."

Amon handed the keys to one of the waiting staff members. "Take care of it."

The staff member immediately nodded. "Of course, sir."

Amon then entered the restaurant with Ambrosia and Sidney.

The interior was even more impressive than the outside.

Soft music played in the background, and the soft conversations of other guests filled the spacious dining hall.

Ambrosia seemed completely comfortable in the environment.

She carried herself with the calm confidence of someone who understood how to behave in places like this.

Sidney however was different. She stayed close to Amon, her pinky quietly hooked around the edge of his sleeve as they walked.

Amon glanced down at her hand but didn’t say anything. They soon reached the reception area.

Amon spoke with one of the waiters. "I have a reservation under Amon Arcadia."

The waiter checked the reservation list before smiling. "Of course, sir. Please follow me."

The waiter led them upstairs to the second floor.

Their private room was quiet and spacious, with a large window overlooking the streets below.

A round wooden table sat in the center, surrounded by comfortable chairs, while a small decorative lamp provided a warm glow.

The three of them sat down.

"I’ve already ordered the food," Amon said. "It should arrive soon, right?"

The waiter nodded. "Everything will be served shortly."

He then left the room and quietly closed the door behind him.

Ambrosia looked at Amon with a proud smile. "I still can’t believe you got into the Royal University."

Sidney immediately nodded. "Seriously. Not that long ago, you were just messing around all day."

Amon smiled. "I guess I’ve improved."

"That’s not the right word." Ambrosia laughed softly. "It’s like you evolved into a bigger man."

Amon didn’t know what to say to that, so he simply smiled.

A waiter soon returned carrying a bottle of wine and three glasses.

He placed everything on the table before leaving again.

Amon picked up the bottle and poured the wine into each glass.

Ambrosia immediately noticed what he was doing. "Don’t give Sidney any."

Sidney’s face immediately fell. "Why?"

"Because you’re still young."

"I am same age as him." She protested."And it’s only one glass."

Amon looked between them before shrugging. "It’s fine. Just for today."

Ambrosia hesitated. She clearly wasn’t completely convinced, but after a moment she nodded. "Fine. Just today."

Sidney immediately picked up her glass with a happy smile.

Ambrosia raised hers. "To Amon’s admission."

The three glasses touched with a soft clink.

"Congratulations."

They took a drink together.

Amon placed his glass down and leaned back in his chair.

For a moment, everything felt surprisingly peaceful.

"So..." Ambrosia cleared her throat. "How are you planning to live once you enter the Royal University?"

She paused before asking the obvious question. "Are you going to live in a hostel?"

Amon shook his head. "No. I was planning to rent a place."

Ambrosia blinked. "Won’t that be expensive?"

Amon chuckled. "I’ll probably get enough scholarship money and sponsorship offers to cover it."

Ambrosia’s expression softened but the proud smile on her face slowly faded into something sadder.

"I see." She lowered her gaze toward her glass. "I’ll be really lonely without you."

Amon blinked his eyes. "...What?"

Ambrosia quickly corrected herself. "I mean... Sidney and I will be alone."

She gave a small, almost embarrassed smile. "You’ve been taking care of us for so long that sometimes it feels like you’ve become the one looking after me, instead of the other way around."

Amon quietly drank his wine. The sweetness of the drink lingered on his tongue as he placed the glass back onto the table.

He let out a slow sigh and he looked directly at Ambrosia.

"Ambriosa."

She raised her eyes.

Amon hesitated for a moment before asking the question that had been sitting in his mind for a while. "Would you and Sidney come with me to the capital city?"
