10,000x Rebate System: Every Return Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 111: A Happy Family
Amon looked up at the bus.
Several people were still surrounding him, talking over one another while waving documents in his direction.
A few had even started arguing among themselves about who had approached him first.
Amon stared at them for a few seconds before sighing.
Then, without saying a word, he suddenly jumped.
"What?!"
Several people shouted in surprise as Amon landed directly on top of the bus.
He turned around and looked down at the crowd from the roof.
"I’m tired!"
The people below him fell silent.
Amon pointed toward them. "I don’t want to deal with any of this right now, so you can all go home and bother someone else."
A few sponsors immediately tried to protest.
"But Student Amon, we only wanted to--"
"You should all know my address by now anyway." Amon cut them off before they could finish.
"Just send your terms and benefits to my mail tomorrow. I’ll look through everything when I’m in the mood."
"But--"
"Goodbye."
Amon didn’t give them another chance to argue.
He jumped down from the opposite side of the bus and immediately started running.
The crowd remained frozen for several seconds.
One of the men slowly lowered the sponsorship documents in his hands.
"...Did he just run away?"
Nobody answered him.
---
It took Amon some time to reach his apartment building.
By the time he arrived, the excitement surrounding the screening had mostly disappeared from his mind.
Amon walked inside the building and climbed the stairs before reaching his apartment door.
He took out his keys, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. "I’m home."
The moment his voice reached the other side of the apartment, hurried footsteps could be heard approaching.
Amon barely had time to turn around before Ambrosia rushed toward him with a bright smile on her face.
She was wearing a soft, light-colored house dress that sat loosely on her shoulders.
The thin fabric clung to the natural curves of her body as she ran, outlining the soft shape of her breasts and the gentle sway of her hips with every quick step.
Her hair was slightly messy, a few strands sticking to her neck, and her face was bright with unrestrained happiness.
"Amon!" She immediately wrapped her arms around him. "I’m so happy!! you’re amazing!! I knew you could do it--"
Her words became almost incoherent as she hugged him tightly.
Amon blinked a few times before gently patting her back. "Calm down."
Ambrosia finally released him and looked at his face with an enormous smile.
Then she suddenly raised her voice. "I’m so happy for you!"
Amon flinched slightly. "You’re going to wake the neighbors."
"I don’t care!"
Ambrosia hugged him again, squeezing him with enough enthusiasm that Amon could only sigh.
He glanced over her shoulder toward the television.
A news channel was already discussing the screening.
"...and one of the most surprising results came from Amon Arcadia, a student from one of the lesser-known academies participating in today’s screening."
Amon’s eyebrows rose. The screen showed footage from the physical test, followed by clips from the mana and combat tests.
The reporter continued speaking.
"Student Amon Arcadia achieved outstanding results across multiple categories, including an S-rank Potential evaluation."
"Several university representatives are reportedly already interested in the young student’s future."
Amon rubbed Ambrosia’s back before gently letting her go. "I see they’ve already started talking about me."
He walked toward the sofa and sat down.
A moment later, Sidney walked out of her room.
She was wearing a short, soft pink sleep shirt that barely reached mid-thigh and loose matching shorts that sat low on her hips.
Despite her casual appearance, she still looked remarkably pretty as she smiled at him. "Congratulations."
Amon looked at her. "Thanks."
Sidney walked over and sat nearby. "I knew you were going to get in."
"You sound pretty confident."
"Of course I am." She smiled proudly. "You’ve been a lot more confident once you awakened."
Amon chuckled.
Before he could respond, Ambrosia suddenly disappeared into her room.
A few moments later, she returned carrying a neatly sealed box.
Amon looked at it curiously. "What is that?"
Ambrosia placed the box in front of him. "This was delivered for you by the Royal University."
Amon raised an eyebrow. "Already?"
He took the box from her and examined the unfamiliar seal.
Sidney immediately leaned closer. "What did they send?"
"I don’t know." Amon glanced between the two of them.
"Why are you both looking at me like I’m opening a treasure chest?"
"Just open it big brother." Sidney replied without hesitation.
Amon sighed and opened the box. The first thing inside was an invitation letter.
He pulled it out and quickly skimmed through the contents.
It officially congratulated him on his performance during the screening and informed him that his results had been reviewed for admission.
The letter also briefly described several of the university’s facilities, including advanced training grounds, research facilities, libraries, and specialized cultivation areas.
At the bottom was the important part.
He was expected to arrive at the Royal University within ten days.
Amon placed the letter on the table. "Well, that’s sooner than I expected."
Sidney glanced at the letter without hiding her sad expression. "So you’re really leaving in ten days."
"Looks like it."
Amon then noticed a tiny oval-shaped glass bottle sitting inside the box.
There was a small piece of paper attached to it.
He ignored the paper and his eyes activated.
Merchant’s Divine Insight immediately displayed the item’s information.
----
[Item: Purebody Elixir]
[Grade: Diamond]
[Actual Value: 100,000 Gold Coins]
[Description: A rare medicinal drink capable of removing accumulated toxins and impurities from the body.]
----
Amon’s eyes widened slightly as carefully picked up the bottle. ’This is actually really good.’
The value alone was ridiculous, but the effect was even more useful.
After everything he had consumed and experienced since arriving in this world, having something capable of cleansing his body was an excellent reward.
Amon tightened his grip around the little bottle. ’The Royal University isn’t messing around.’
Ambrosia leaned closer. "What’s that?"
"Something useful."
Amon placed it safely beside him.
Ambrosia suddenly smiled. "We need to celebrate."
Sidney’s eyes immediately lit up. "We absolutely should."
Amon looked between the two of them and he chuckled.
"Why not?" He stood up and stretched. "Get ready. I’ll book us a table at some fancy restaurant."
Sidney immediately jumped to her feet. "I’m going to change."
She hurried toward her room.
Ambrosia remained beside Amon for a moment.
She looked at him quietly before stepping closer and giving him a small kiss on the top of his head.
"You did really well." Ambrosia smiled warmly. "I’m proud of you."
She then turned around and walked away.
Amon fall down on the sofa without saying anything.
A small smile appeared on his face as he watched her disappear into her room.
He placed a hand over his chest.
’Why is my heart beating so fast?’ He shook his head. ’What the hell is wrong with me?’
Before he could think about it any further, his phone suddenly vibrated.
Amon took it out. The first message was from the official Royal Family website.
It informed him that the money he had won from his bet would be transferred into his account within two days.
’Ten million Federal Notes.’ He couldn’t help but smile. ’Now that’s some beautiful news.’
He opened the next message and this one was much more recent.
----
Seraphina: Come downstairs.
----
Amon stared at the message before he looked toward the apartment door. ’She’s already here?’
He slowly stood up and walked out with the bottle in his hand. "Time to earn some more."
