My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 416 The Monster Leader

Chapter 416 The Monster Leader

“I cannot believe he could wield anything like this…This is certainly a surprise!” Crown Prince Daniel murmured with a shocked expression on his face.

“And not to mention, he is holding it with only one hand and makes it appear so easy…this is genuinely hard to believe.” King Richard was astounded to see the gigantic sword in Yuan’s hands, but what startled him the most was that, despite its size, Yuan could hold it smoothly with one hand.

“Moreover, that sword appears so unusual, yet I can’t detect any presence of mana, which is particularly strange because glancing at that sword sends shivers down my spine,” King Richard stated with an interesting look on his face, his curiosity regarding the big sword in Yuan’s hand clear.

“However, this is merely my personal opinion. Furthermore, I highly doubt he will wield a conventional sword.” King Richard commented a bit later.

“I agree,” Crown Prince Daniel agreed. “And he appears to be rather generous, as he has given such a valuable weapon to my aunt; there is no way he would use a regular sword.”

“The appearance of the sword alone speaks about how amazing it is. I wonder where he got such incredible weapons…” Crown Prince Daniel sighed as Yuan became increasingly cryptic.

‘The leader of the Celestial Blades, known for their battle skill and unknown identities, but I’m unsure of how he would do against the Giant Purple Lizards, given his wives’ might and ability to wipe off half of them.’ Daniel thought, a strange expression on his face.

Yuan swiftly used his divine sense to count the remaining monsters. And he found out that his wives had already killed more than nine monsters, leaving only fourteen creatures.

However, there was another monster present that stood far away from the battle and was busy eating the boar. His size exceeded that of the other lizards by nearly three times.

‘That lizard over there must be the leader of this group, as only fifteen monsters have remained…I’ll make this quick.’ Yuan thought.

The lizards quickly stopped attacking the others when they saw Yuan’s strong presence, and they stayed motionless, their gaze seemingly filled with perplexity as they detected a threat from Yuan’s presence.

Yuan went ahead calmly, his gaze fixed on the lizards. Although he had never faced such a big monster before, he was so sure in his abilities that it would take him less than ten minutes to exterminate every one of them—including the group’s leader.

‘Show me what you are capable of, my beloved… Although you defeated me in a duel, I am confident that you did not employ your full might at the time.’ General Valeria’s eyes gleamed with pleasure and eagerness as she noticed his tranquil face; it seemed too simple for him.

‘Acting cool, are we? Acting cool will not help you at all; why don’t you just die at the hands of those lizards?’ Aurther’s face twisted in irritation at Yuan’s serene expression, and he scoffed in his heart.

He simply prayed to the goddess for Yuan to experience a horrible death at the hands of those lizards and become one of their food; he wanted to see him suffer and struggle pointlessly.

“Let’s avoid utilizing my powerful techniques… I don’t need such techniques to defeat them; a low-ranking one will do. They are very weak!” Yuan dashed towards the Giant Purple Lizards, alerting them instantly.

His pace was far faster than the monsters’ eyes could track, and he appeared before them in the blink of an eye.

“It’ll be fun…” Yuan swung his sword at the closest creature to him, slicing through the air so quickly that the monster couldn’t even think about avoiding it.

Slash! The sword in his grasp had quickly split the lizard in two, sending blood and organs to fly everywhere.

The other Lizards screamed at him in rage as Yuan killed one of them in the blink of an eye.

King Richard’s eyes widened as he saw Yuan vanish from his position and one of the monsters be severed in two, followed by the beasts’ rageful cry.

“What the hell happened?!” King Richard mumbled in surprise, almost unable to accept what had transpired.

“So fast! Despite becoming an Archmage, I am unable to pursue him. What terrible power!” Archmage Isadora murmured, her tone full of incredulity and astonishment.

“And I couldn’t sense any use of mana at all; what kind of method did he employ to travel so quickly, or is it just his strength?” She was perplexed, unable to fathom what had just occurred or how Yuan could move so fast.

At the same time, the Holy Son Aurther and the Holy Knights wore expressions of bewilderment, appearing more scared than startled.

“This cannot be real… This is impossible! There is no way it’s real…” Aurther refused to believe this.

‘Damn it! How can that jerk have so much power?! This is not fair at all!’ He screamed inwardly at the top of his lungs since everything appeared unfair to him.

However, the Holy Knights became immensely anxious as they remembered how they had irritated Yuan and lusted after his women; now worried about the consequences, they swallowed their saliva nervously.

‘It appears that we made a grave error by offending him…’ The Holy Knights’ faces became pale as they exchanged glances.

Meanwhile, Yuan hurried towards the other lizards, without giving them a chance to attack him. He ran so quickly that the lizard looked around in confusion, attempting to find him.

Yuan appeared in front of one of them, and suddenly his sword glowing blue—

“One Sword One Strike!”.

Sha! The Lizard instantly jumped backward to avoid the attack, but its movement was too slow, and the monster was split into two parts in mid-air, resulting in another terrible sight with blood and organs flying everywhere.

Yuan sensed danger from behind and vaulted back to avoid the lizards’ surprise strike, then dashed for the monsters without waiting a single second.

“One Sword One Strike!”

He performed the technique again, this time killing four lizards at once, and their lifeless carcasses fell to the ground, becoming a gory mess.

Yuan soaked the ground in blood as he massacred all of the lizards except for the group’s leader, creating a terrible scene with their giant lifeless carcasses scattered everywhere.

Everyone stared at the scene, as if in astonishment. They couldn’t believe what had occurred; not quite five minutes had elapsed and, except for the group leader, all of the Giant Purple Lizards had died.

Aurther, the Holy Son, was the most astonished. He had a pale expression on his face as he witnessed Yuan slaughter all of the monsters in five minutes; it was unrealistic and unbelievable.

‘What the hell is this bastard!? How could he be that strong?!’ He screamed inside, seemingly frustrated, as he began to fear Yuan after seeing what he was capable of doing.

‘Even our empire’s most powerful Holy Knight cannot defeat that many peak S-rank monsters… Despite this, he completed the task quickly and effortlessly.’ Aurther pondered, and his face became even paler as his terror grew.

‘Damn it! I must give up on punishing him for his arrogance for the time being due to his might. However, this does not mean that I will forget the shame. I will make him pay, but not now.’ Aurther clenched his fist tightly in annoyance, furious that he couldn’t do anything against Yuan since he was too strong.

He was not an idiot to seek vengeance after witnessing what Yuan was capable of; if he had been, he wouldn’t have become the Holy Son of the Holy Church of Light and Justice.

He understands exactly when to back down if the opponent is too strong, and since he can’t defeat Yuan even with the support of his Holy Knights, who have already lost to him, he won’t be rash.

‘Once I leave this forest, I’ll need to plot how to take down this guy carefully. Otherwise, he may become an obstacle to my succession, which I cannot allow.’ He pondered.

However, at this point, the gigantic monster that led the troop of Giant Purple Lizards abruptly turned its head towards Yuan.

When he sees that all of his minions have been murdered, his eyes turn red, and an unending amount of killing intent emanates from them, causing the majority of the people to kneel, and feel the powerful pressure emitting from the monster.

“S-so powerful! This is a low-level SS-rank monster!” Daniel said in a confused voice, his legs trembling at the sight of an SS-level monster.

It was his first brush with such a powerful monster, and as he sensed the monster’s bloodlust, he felt his body stop responding to his commands.

‘Damn it! What’s happening? Why has my body stopped listening to me?!’ Daniel trembled and yelled inside, and he could feel his heart racing.

Yuan looked at the monster commander with a big grin on his face. “Oh! You stopped eating and focused on me, but I had already slaughtered your minions. Well, you will be joining them shortly.”

“ROOOAAAAAARRRRRR!”

After realizing that all of his minions had died and their blood had stained the ground red, the monster let out a tremendous roar before focusing his keen sight on Yuan, murderous intent radiating from his eyes.

And without wasting a single second, the monster leader sprang at Yuan, his razor-sharp claws ready to tear him in half, covered in a thick purple liquid.

“Oh! You proved to be more powerful than your minions…I am impressed.” Yuan was taken aback by the monster’s incredible speed, as it came before him in the blink of an eye.

“But it’s not nearly enough!” Yuan darted quickly to the left, neatly avoiding the strike, before immediately lifting his sword into the air.

“One Sword One Strike!”

The sword shone blue as he swung it down, and his assault was so fast that the monster didn’t even have time to dodge before it struck him.

Slash! The sword effortlessly cut through the monster’s thick scales and decapitated it, and his head rolled to the ground in the blink of an eye.
