My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 307 Astonished Leah

Chapter 307 Astonished Leah

Without wasting a single second Yuan swung his sword vertically, and his sword suddenly glowed in blue—

“One Sword One Strike!”

Guiiiii! Noticing the life-threatening danger approaching him, the boar let out a startled cry and jumped backward to dodge the attack.

Unfortunately for the boar, it was too late for him to successfully avoid Yuan’s sword attack.

Slash! The sword in Yuan’s grasp had easily sliced the thick skin of the boar, causing blood to gush out from his neck. The boar screamed from the pain, and it jumped backward to distance himself from Yuan.

“This thing is fast! I can’t believe I couldn’t take him down on a single strike.” Yuan was surprised to see the boar somehow managed to survive his deadly attack.

He aimed directly at the boar’s neck to end his life in a single swoop, but this boar was very agile and managed to avoid getting killed by Yuan’s sword.

Although the boar managed to survive, he still got heavily wounded by Yuan’s sword, the may not be life-threatening but it will restrict the boar’s movement and will make him from blood loss.

“Roaaaarrrrrrrr!”

The boar looked at Yuan with murderous intent as fresh blood dripped from his neck, the boar appeared in pain with killing intent radiating from its bloody red eye.

“Oh, it seems he is angry at me for injuring him…no joke, that roar was powerful.” Yuan chuckled.

“You managed to survive my first attack, but don’t think that you’ll be surviving the next,” Yuan spoke in a loud tone looking at the furious boar, he tightly gripped his sword. And the sword once again glowed blue—

“One Sword One Strike!”

A massive blue sword arc flew at the injured boar, and the boar’s eye narrowed noticing the sword arc arrived in front of his face in the blink of an eye and only an inch apart from hitting him.

Guiiii! When the boar tried to move away from his position to dodge the attack, the sword arc sliced his neck and blood gushed out from his severed neck like a fountain and painted the ground in red.

However, the sword arc didn’t stop even after chopping off the boar’s head, it continued to fly towards the trees at an incredible speed.

Bang! The sword arc collided with a couple of trees ahead and cut them cleanly, destroying a portion of the ground.

Meanwhile, Leah was astonished by how fast Yuan killed the massive boar and he made it seem like he did it effortlessly, which was shocking for her.

“Amazing… He killed the massive boar so easily, this is unbelievable!” Leah mumbled in a low voice, seemingly surprised by Yuan’s strength.

When Anna Grace and the other girls saw Leah’s surprised expression, they couldn’t help but chuckle

“Hahah, it’s still nothing compared to the monsters he defeated. Dear, you’ll see more as we move forward.” Anna Grace said to Leah with a chuckle.

“Huh? What do you mean, Miss Anna Grace?” Leah looked at her with a puzzled look on her face. Is she telling her that it wasn’t even his full strength? How strong Yuan actually is?

“Alright. It’s done.” Yuan looked at the massive lifeless body of the boar and now noticed that the boar had silver fur around its neck.

“Silver-coloured fur…? What kind of boar is this? Oh well, I’ll ask Mom about it later.” He was curious about the boar, but since they had to go to the forest border as soon as possible before the sun went down, he decided to ask his mother about the boar later.

“Now let’s store this thing inside my system storage…I wonder why the system has become silent for so long.” Yuan mumbled in a low voice before storing the whole boar inside his system storage, including the severed head.

When the boar vanished into thin air, Lily drove the carriage forward and stopped it for Yuan to get in.

“Let’s go, Let’s go. We don’t have much time left before the sun goes down.” Yuan entered the carriage and said.

Lily nodded and drove the carriage forward, and as they continued to move forward gradually the carriage’s speed became faster and soon it picked up the previous speed they were traveling.

As the carriage continued to move forward, they noticed numerous monsters in groups at the side of the forest.

Most of the monsters that appeared before them were only low-ranked monsters such as F-rank or E-rank monsters, and seeling their hide would be hard and the amount of money they’d get would be too low to waste their time on hunting them.

Thus they choose to ignore such monsters and continue to move forward, they’ve also encountered strong monsters as they moved by the side of the forest but it wasn’t worth wasting their time on hunting those monsters.

Moreover, Yuan wasn’t in dire need of gold coins he already had a large sum of gold coins with him which cal last more than 50 years if they didn’t waste them on buying useless things.

And if he needs more gold coins, he and his wives just need to take a high-level monster subjugation request from the hunter association, which will earn them thousands of gold coins upon completing the mission. So, why waste their time on some lowly monsters?

After traveling for about an hour,

They finally left the forest side and entered an open field with only a few large trees and bushes at the side of the road ahead.

“The sun is about to set, we have to look for a good place to set up a camp,” Yuan murmured in hushed tones as he noticed the sun barely hanging in the sky and that it was only a matter of time before the sun set and it became dark.

“I’ll stop the carriage over there, at the shade of that large tree. It will keep the horses safe from flying monsters.” Lily spoke as she pointed her finger at a large tree in the distance.

“Alright. That’s a good place and there are no monsters around. We’ll camp there tonight.” Yuan nodded and replied.

Anna Grace who heard their words looked toward the large tree in the distance, and nodded, “That’s indeed a suitable place for us to camp.”

Sometimes later, they reached the large tree and Lily stopped the carriage at the side of the tree.

Yuan and his wives as well as Leah get out of the carriage, and Yuan quickly took the horses towards the tree and tied the ropes at the tree trunk before feeding them water.

After that, he used his divine sense to find some dry firewood to start their campfire, and as he opened his divine sense, he didn’t find any dry branches on the ground.

Instead, he located numerous dry branches on the tree, and in order to get them he needed to climb the tree.

“Damn it! I need to climb the tree in order to start our campfire…” Yuan mumbled in frustration as he gazed upwards towards the branches.

Anna Grace took out her cooking tools and suddenly noticed that Yuan was looking frustrated and was staring at the tree branches above, and asked, “What is it, darling? Why are you staring at the tree branches like that?”

“It’s nothing. I’m just looking for dry branches to start our campfire.” Yuan replied and retrieved his sword from his system storage.

“Hmmm, there’s indeed quite a lot dry branches handing on the tree.” As Anna Grace looked up, she spotted several dried branches hanging from the tree.

Yuan then tossed his sword in the air and the sword levitated in the air as though gravity stopped working for the sword, seeing this phenomenon Leah’s eyes widened and became extremely shocked.

‘How is this possible? How can such a large and heavy sword levitate in the air like this? Is this really happening or my eyes are playing tricks on me?’ She cried inwardly, seemingly shocked.

Unfortunately for her, what Yuan is going to do next will surely make her flabbergasted.

Yuan then jumped onto the sword flew upwards and started breaking the dry branches from the tree and letting them fall onto the ground.

In the ground, Anna Grace didn’t stay idle and began collecting the branches.

In just a few seconds, Yuan and Anna Grace collected enough branches to last the campfire for two days. Yuan the descended onto the ground and stored his sword back inside his system storage.

Yuan fetched the boar he killed today after collecting the branches, then took Ava’s dagger from his system storage and sliced a boar’s limb, it was enough to fill everyone’s stomach and still a large amount of meat remained.

A few minutes later, the campfire lit up and Emma began preparing their meal. Anna Grace seasoned the leftover meat with numerous spices and started roasting it over the fire.

An hour later, the roasted meat was cooked to perfection and the meal was ready, they didn’t waste much time and began serving food for everyone.

“Unbelievable…I had no idea boar meat could be so tasty.” Yuan exclaimed in astonishment as he took a bite of the juicy boar meat, which, when mixed with the flavor of the spices, was unbelievably exquisite.

“Indeed. This boar meat tastes extremely wonderful, and the meat is so juicy that it readily breaks apart, completely amazing!” Julie spoke excitedly. 𝘪𝑟𝒶.𝑐ℴ𝘮

Anna Grace smiled and turned to face Leah, asking, “Leah, what do you think? Does it taste good to you?”

“This is the most delicious meal I’ve ever eaten, it’s incredible!” Leah spoke with a genuine joyful smile on her face.

After filling their stomachs, Yuan and his wives as well as Leah entered the carriage.

Anna Grace then took out blankets and mattresses from her spatial rings and placed the mattresses on the carriage floor. She also retrieved some pillows from her spatial ring and handed one to each.

Once everything was ready, everyone fell asleep inside the carriage.
