Reincarnated as The SSS-Rank Villain Magus: My Arcana Evolution System

Evan Veyr was the youngest magic researcher in history. At twenty-eight, he could decode ancient curses, reconstruct lost spells, and understand magical theories that baffled entire academies. Unfortunately, he slipped on a puddle and died.

When Evan opened his eyes again, he was holding a sacrificial blade with a system cheerfully informed him:

[Congratulations! You have reincarnated as Rey Valen.]

The legendary Royal Magus.

One of the Five Heroes who defeated the Dark Lord.

And according to history, the madman who later practiced forbidden magic, sacrificed his five beautiful wives, and was finally killed by his own former teammates.

There was only one problem.

History was lying.

The forbidden magic Rey studied wasn't for power. It was an attempt to survive.

And the curse slowly driving him insane? Evan had no intention of removing it. He was a researcher. If the curse could generate corruption, then corruption could become energy.

Now armed with modern magical knowledge, a curse that grows stronger with his emotions, and five princess wives who were supposed to die by his hands, Evan has one simple goal:

Rewrite Rey Valen's ending.

His wives will live. His forbidden magic will evolve. And when the four legendary heroes who betrayed Rey eventually come to kill him…

They might discover that this time, history chose the wrong villain to provoke.
